Max's Growing Strength

Max's gaze swept over the hundreds of figures emerging from the crack in the void.

Dark silhouettes. Unfamiliar faces.

But his eyes locked onto two figures.

Cain.

And Evan.

Evan smirked, his voice laced with mockery. "I hope you're ready this time," he said, eyes gleaming with confidence. "Because this time, you have to fight me—even if you're scared like a little chicken."

Max simply shrugged.

His body lifted effortlessly into the air, rising to meet Evan face to face.

"I'll try not to chicken out this time," he replied, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Mockery for mockery.

Evan's expression darkened. "Then let's start our battle!"

His aura exploded, bursting into a blinding blaze of energy.

Level 3 Aura.

But it was unfamiliar.

Something Max didn't recognize.

And that made things interesting.

Max smiled faintly, then turned his gaze to Cain.
