Walking Through Walls

The air outside the chamber felt heavier than before, as though the ruins themselves exhaled the breath of ancient secrets. After the battle with the shard beasts, the group moved carefully, exhaustion weighing down their limbs. 

Their steps echoed faintly as they made their way back toward the settlement, the soft glow of the shard veins guiding their path. The air was thick with the scent of dust and the remnants of their recent combat, each breath a reminder of the dangers they had faced.

Roger spun one of his daggers in his hand, the sharp blade catching the faint light. His expression was unusually quiet, his newfound ability leaving him in a state of contemplative awe. The silence around him was palpable, each member of the group lost in their own thoughts about what had transpired.

"You've been quiet, Roger," Tobi said, his voice breaking the stillness. "How are you holding up?"
