'Setting that aside, she told me she needed me to stay awake until we met later on. I need to find something that'll keep me awake until then.'
I headed out to a seven eleven nearby to grab things I would need like more coffee, energy bars, energy drinks, I didn't think one type of energy drink would work, so I ended up grabbing a variety of kinds just to be safe.
Once that was finished, I headed straight to a mattress store to replace mine with the most uncomfortable one. It's probably not ideal, but it would probably keep me awake for a while longer. I can't fall asleep unexpectedly like earlier.
Soon, I had everything I needed to keep me awake until four in the morning. I headed home and set everything up until place. By the time I had finished 6 hours had passed and it was already twelve in the morning.
I turned on every light in the house and bought every lamp into my room, I figured if I wasn't in the dark, I wouldn't be able to fall asleep, hoping the light would keep me awake.
Once that was set, I ate three energy bars, and drunk two energy drinks, before sitting down on the new bed I had bought.
I then turned on the television to bypass some time.
Three hours passed.
'There's 30 minutes left, I should start getting ready for our meeting at the library.'
I took a shower for about 15 minutes, once I had done everything I needed to in the bathroom, I grabbed my car keys and went straight to my car.
'The drive should take less than 10 minutes.'
I was feeling extremely tired, but I knew I had to endure it if I wanted answers about what's happening to me.
I soon arrived at the library, when I walked through the doors, I couldn't see anybody.
Lacia was nowhere in sight, nor was any other librarian. I wondered if she had just playing a prank on me earlier.
'But it's unusual for there to be no other librarians around, considering this is a twenty-four hour library.'
That's when I started calling out for her.
"Lacia!! Lacia, I'm here where are you!"
That's when someone grabbed my arm extremely hard, pulling me into the staffroom.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!?"
"I told you to ask another librarian where I was if you couldn't find me, not shout out my damn name!"
"But, there were no other librarians around I didn't know what else to do."
She then put hand palm ever her face, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Here's a crazy Idea, maybe wait for me, OR look around?"
'What the hell was she doing anyway?'
"Why'd you drag me into the staff room though?" I asked in total confusion.
When I took a look around, I realized there was a bed behind us.
'Why the hell is there a bed in the staff room of a library?'
"Get on the bed." She pointed her toward it.
"W-Wait are we gonna—"
"Ew, no what the hell is wrong with you. I need you to fall asleep."
"And why the hell would I do that after knowing what'll happen?"
"Stop asking questions, I need you to explore the forest and tell what it's like when you wake up."
I sat up, confused, and looked at her.
"If you've been there before why do I need—"
She interrupted me before I could finish, her eyebrows furrowed, her lips pursed, and her eyes flashing with irritation, her expression a mixture of frustration and annoyance.
"I told you to stop asking questions, and just do what you're told. If I think you're in danger I'll wake you up before anything happens."
Once we were finished talking, I began to slowly close my eyes. My body was shaking, but I felt a bit relieved that somewhere was here watching over me.
A few minutes later, I was back.
I began walking, looking around the forest cautiously. The snow had piled onto the trees even more than before, and it was more darker that the past two times.
'What the hell does she want me to do?'
That's when it suddenly became really quiet. The wind and rustling leaves fell silent. I could only hear my footsteps walking through crushing through the snow the snow. Each footstep sounding even more muffled than the one before.
I stopped to look around and that's when I noticed that there were eyes. Big, glowing red eyes, with vertical slit pupils, stared at me through the trees, their intense, unblinking gaze seeming to pierce right through me, filling me with a sense of dread.
The eyes, they resembled that things eyes, the only difference was that they were smaller. Despite their smaller size, they were still abnormally big.
I knew standing here in fear wouldn't make anything better, so at first I began walking away slowly so that whatever was watching me wouldn't notice. Then, once I felt like I was out of their sight, I began running, running as fast and far away as I could.
I turned around to check if I was far away enough, but when I turned back around, my heart dropped and I froze in place.
It was that thing. The one I saw in the cave.
It's red eyes were paralyzing, I couldn't move just by staring into them.
'Why the hell did I agree to this.'
All I could think about death. If I wasn't awake within the next 30 seconds, I was sure I'd be dead.
I began backing away slowly, trying to figure a way out of this whole situation.
But then I realized something. I wasn't moving anywhere. My body was moving, but every time I looked back up, I was in the same spot as before.
I realized it was hopeless, there's no getting away this time.
'What the hell is she doing, why won't she wake me up!?'
Then, it smiled. That thing, it looked me straight in the eyes and smiled. It's teeth were large and white.
I gave up. My knees grew weak, and I gave up.
