The sun was setting over yuma mountain, casting a warm, golden hue over Anseronill's View Garden. The air was filled with the sounds of daily life winding down, but a sudden, powerful hum drew all eyes skyward.
Above, a colossal aircraft soared through the sky, its body shimmering like a golden beast from ancient legends. The craft was unlike any other, its design both majestic and intimidating. It was covered in a golden screen that reflected the dying light, making it appear as though it was cloaked in flames. The shape of the aircraft resembled a burly beast, with a broad, muscular frame and wings that stretched wide, casting a shadow over the ground below.
On the ground, a group of children gathered, their eyes wide with awe and wonder. They wore patched overwears, obvious signs of mining, but their spirits were lifted by the sight above.
"Look at that!" a young boy exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement. "It's like a dragon made of gold!"
An older girl, her hair tied back with a piece of string, nodded in agreement. "I've never seen anything like it. It must belong to someone really important."
A man, his face etched with the lines of a hard life, joined the group. "That's the Sky Sovereign," he said, his voice a mix of envy and admiration. "They say it's the most advanced aircraft ever built. Only the richest of the rich can afford to fly in it."
The children gasped, their imaginations running wild. "Do you think we'll ever get to see inside one?" asked a small girl, clutching a mech doll to her chest.
The man shook his head slowly. "Maybe one day, if we're lucky. But for now, we can only dream."
"Ah, shit! That's an M-12," another man exclaimed.
"Are you sure?" another man who had joined the group asked. "That's not something that just pops up anywhere."
As the golden aircraft continued its journey, the people below watched until it was just a speck on the horizon.
The aircraft was the Genesis M-12, the pinnacle of Genesis's aeronautical innovation. It is a two-seater super aircraft that redefines the boundaries of speed, luxury, and exclusivity. This masterpiece, renowned globally for its unparalleled performance and cutting-edge design, stands as a testament to Genesis's legacy in crafting world-class Aircrafts.
The M-12's exterior is a vision of elegance, with a sleek, aerodynamic body crafted from advanced composite exotics. Its golden hue, shimmering under the light, exudes an aura of opulence and power. The aircraft's design is both aggressive and refined, with twenty thrusters seamlessly integrated into two massive wings, providing unmatched propulsion and stability. These thrusters, arranged in a streamlined configuration, give the M-12 a distinctive edge over other super aircraft, which typically feature only 12-18 thrusters.
At the heart of the M-12 lies a propulsion system that is nothing short of revolutionary. Powered by a state-of-the-art fusion core, the twin hype-engines deliver a massive energy ratio that propels the aircraft to speeds double that of conventional models. This incredible speed is complemented by a high-grade suspension system, ensuring a smooth and stable flight even at maximum velocity.
The cockpit of the Genesis M-12 is a marvel of modern technology and luxury. The seats, upholstered in the finest leather, are designed for maximum comfort and support during high-speed maneuvers. The control panel features a holographic interface, allowing pilots to access a wealth of flight data and navigation tools with intuitive ease. Augmented reality displays provide real-time information on the aircraft's surroundings, enhancing situational awareness and safety.
One of the standout features of the M-12 is its advanced defensive system. Once activated, this system envelops the aircraft in a visible golden screen, providing an additional layer of protection against potential threats. This defensive capability, combined with the aircraft's advanced stealth, makes the M-12 a formidable presence in the skies.
Only twelve Genesis M-12s were ever produced, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after aircraft in the world. Initially released at a price of 1.2 billion credits, the value of the M-12 has since soared to 2.2 billion credits, reflecting its desirability and the prestige it commands among collectors and aviation enthusiasts.
The exterior of the aircraft was awe-inspiring, but Eli, seated in the other seat, couldn't care less about its grandeur. His gaze was fixed on the sheathed sword beside Riott. "Just how much will it cost?" Eli thought.
"DING!
[Name: Fire Mayfaer Blade]
[Price: 17.5 billion credits].
"What the heck?" Eli didn't expect the system to respond, as the last time he inspected the sword there was no price tag, which meant the system was trying to provoke him. "Tsk… Tsk… Tsk," Eli clicked his tongue, which made Riott shudder violently.
Riott was drenched in sweat. Although the distance to Eli's place wasn't far, it felt like an eternity to Riott. He was under the intense gaze of Eli, and his blade hadn't stopped trembling on his lap since he left the Adenea residence.
"Can you drop me close to Yama Woods?" Eli asked.
"But—"
"Idiot, it's closer to my place. I just want to stretch," Eli cut him off.
"Okay," Riott quickly agreed and dropped Eli near Yama Woods. He then ran away, unable to bear Eli's gaze any longer. His departure was comical, like a cat with its tail tucked between its legs.
Eli gave a wry chuckle as he watched the aircraft disappear. He stared at the time on his comm: 11:33 PM. The reason he had asked Riott to drop him off was so he could complete his daily quests. He was curious about the rewards, as the difficulty of the daily quests had increased, which meant the rewards would likely increase as well.
Twenty hours later.
[Press-ups, 500 times: Complete (500/500)]
[Sit-ups, 500 times: Complete (500/500)]
[Squats, 500 times: Complete (500/500)]
[Running, 50 km: Complete (50/50)]
[Consume blood, 50 cl: Complete (50/50)]
[Lift, 500 kg: Complete (500/500)]
"Pant, pant, pant, pant…"
Eli lapped the outer perimeter of Yama Woods three times and arrived back at his starting point. He was bent over, panting heavily. He had run fifty kilometers in the span of twenty minutes and completed all the other quests. His heart felt like it might explode at any second, but he couldn't give up yet.
'I worked so hard until now, so no way I would…'
As Eli tried to regulate his heavy, rough breathing while thick sweat drops continuously dripped down, a message popped up in front of his eyes.
Tti-ring.
[You've completed 'Daily Quest']
[Completion rewards have arrived.]
[Would you like to confirm?] (Y/N)
Eli glanced at the message that popped up on his screen. [Would you like to confirm?] (Y/N)
"Yes."
[You have gained box [uncommon]]
[Would you like to open the box?]
"Hmm… The common box usually has a 50% chance of dropping a common item, a 40% chance of dropping a white item, and a 10% chance of dropping an uncommon item. Using this reference, the uncommon box has a 50% chance of dropping an uncommon item, a 40% chance of dropping a common item, and a 10% chance of dropping a rare item." Eli smiled as he stared at the green box with the tag 'uncommon.'
This was already a good improvement, and he looked forward to receiving a rare item. Seeing Riott's sword had just reminded him of his lack in the weapon aspect.
Eli had three gift boxes. Two were rewards for the daily quests: one cerulean common and the other green uncommon, which he had just received. The last one he got from killing a human during his dual conquest; it was silver rare.
