Chapter 78: Raelia Ednia

The battle raged on the army of the Kingdom of Ednia faced the werewolves of Etrakios, creatures whose strength was amplified under the full moon's influence.

However, their brute force was countered by the humans, who had equipped themselves with iron armor—a well-known weakness of the lycans.

On the battlefield, the clash of weapons, the roars of the werewolves, and the cries of soldiers merged into a dreadful cacophony.

"For Ednia! Fight with honor for the kingdom!" the human soldiers shouted, galvanized by the presence of their captain and their princess.

Alongside the humans goblins and dwarves, clad in heavy armor, fought valiantly to protect the Grand Confederation of Azulferia.

"For Azulferia! Annihilate these beasts!" they cried, striking their enemies with unwavering determination.

Opposite them, the werewolves howled ferociously, their voices resonating like macabre war chants.

"Wolves of Etrakios! Exterminate these inferior races! Slaughter them all!"

Wyriol clad in an imposing gladiator's armor, leaped with tremendous force.

In an instant, he attempted to strike Raelia, the young human with chestnut hair.

But Gilbert the silver-haired knight intercepted the attack with his blade skillfully deflecting it.

A menacing grin stretched across Wyriol's lips.

"Protecting your woman, knight? How pitiful."

Gilbert smirked, adopting a defensive stance.

"Raelia? My woman? Hah! You're gravely mistaken she's my childhood friend."

With a fluid movement, he counterattacked with a precise sword strike.

Raelia watching the exchange subtly nodded.

Gilbert understood immediately.

"It seems I am your opponent."

Wyriol chuckled, delighted by the knight's confidence, and prepared for a merciless duel.

The Chaos of Battle Continued

The soldiers of Ednia and their allies continued to fight with unshakable determination.

The goblins, despite their small stature, used their agility to destabilize the werewolves, while the dwarves, armed with massive shields and formidable axes, formed impenetrable lines.

"Hold your positions! Do not retreat! For Azulferia!"

The werewolves, consumed by rage, responded with brutal charges, sweeping away their enemies with razor-sharp claws.

 "Destroy them! Devour them alive!"

The clash of blades against steel, the screams of pain, and the blood splattered across the ground formed a macabre melody—a reflection of a ruthless war.

Raelia vs. Nazvretor

Not far away Nazvretor, the fearsome wolf-warrior was sowing death among the human ranks.

Her claws tore through armor, her fangs claimed lives, and her fierce gaze instilled terror.

She ruthlessly cut down soldiers, goblins, and dwarves before Raelia stepped in her path.

With unwavering determination, Raelia advanced toward the she-wolf her eyes burning with an incandescent glow.

She raised her hand and chanted:

 "Blazing Gale!"

A storm of flames erupted around her, rushing toward Nazvretor.

But the she-wolf, reacting swiftly, grabbed a goblin's corpse and used it as a shield.

The body was instantly consumed, but she remained unscathed.

Nazvretor cast a contemptuous look at Raelia.

"Miserable vermin! You will not leave this battlefield alive!"

Raelia, clad in her military uniform unsheathed her blazing sword.

The two combatants engaged in a fierce duel.

Nazvretor's metallic claws clashed against Raelia's flaming blade, producing a shower of sparks.

"HAAAA!" roared Nazvretor, lunging, ready to tear Raelia to pieces.

But Raelia, agile, dodged and, with a sharp strike, severed her opponent's right arm.

Nazvretor howled in pain, her cry echoing across the battlefield.

For the first time, she felt something unknown helplessness.

Raelia gave her no respite she raised her sword, chanting her ultimate technique.

 "Fire Strike!"

A massive circle of flames exploded around her, consuming everything in its path.

The flames devoured the enemy ranks, reducing a hundred demons to ashes.

When the storm subsided Nazvretor lay on the ground, her torso entirely charred.

Only her legs remained—a grotesque remnant of her once formidable power.

The werewolves, seeing their commander fall, wavered. Their assaults weakened.

Gilbert, still battling Wyriol, glanced toward the scene.

 "Raelia… You are incredible."

Despite her victory, Raelia remained silent staring at the horizon with steely resolve.

The human soldiers, inspired by their princess fought with renewed vigor.

"For Ednia! For Lady Raelia!" they roared.

On the other side, Wyriol, despite his ally's downfall, burst into laughter, savoring the battle's turn.

"Hahaha… Yes… Show me more of your pitiful and futile resistance, miserable humans!"
