Under a sky darkened by the flashes of battle and the shadows of flames, the fight between the Ednia Alliance and the Azulferia Confederation reached its climax.
Amidst the chaos Boozer, the demon general stood as a true scourge. His massive stature and deadly axes had already cut down twenty elves who had courageously tried to protect Thaloria.
Their bodies lay scattered on the ground, wrapped in the dark threads of webs spun by the demon's arachnid limbs.
At that moment, a large figure leaped from the air—Kelwodius, the formidable werewolf in his hybrid form.
His massive build and razor-sharp claws made him as imposing as he was terrifying he lunged at lightning speed, aiming to strike Thaloria.
But before his claws could reach their target, they were stopped by a brutal impact. Kodort, Thaloria's older brother, intervened.
Kodort, an imposing elf with a red beard and golden-yellow hair, wore a chainmail forged by dwarves and iron gloves with steel-like reflections. Kelwodius narrowed his eyes at him, intrigued.
"You… you look strong," growled the werewolf. "But if you're still standing after taking my claws, it's thanks to your armor, isn't it?"
Kodort burst out laughing.
"Wahaha! You're right. What you see here is the craftsmanship of Azulferia's dwarves. Even so i do not think a werewolf's attack would be enough to bring me down, but caution is always necessary."
Kelwodius was suddenly distracted by a deep rumbling.
The ground trembled beneath his feet, accompanied by howls.
He turned and saw debris from dwarven and elven buildings rise into the air, heading toward the regiment of werewolves before crashing violently into his subordinates' ranks.
This attack was the work of the fairies, who flew high, making their assaults difficult to counter.
Thaloria, still beside Kodort, observed the scene before turning to her brother.
"Kodort, I'll leave him to you i need to help our men."
Kodort smiled.
"Do what you have to do little sister."
Kelwodius, irritated, tried to pursue her.
"Don't think you can act as you please!" he shouted.
But Kodort blocked his path, his face adorned with a mocking smile.
"Sorry, but my sister has more important matters than you."
Kelwodius, annoyed, growled.
"You're just protecting your weak sister."
At these words, Kodort raised an eyebrow, then let out a light chuckle.
"Hmph? What makes you think Thaloria is weak? She's stronger than me and trust me, I wouldn't dare make her angry. In our Confederation composed of elves, dwarves, goblins, and fairies i can say this without a shadow of a doubt—Thaloria is the most powerful warrior in our nation."
Kelwodius smirked, amused.
"Really? What a shame I don't have the chance to fight such a warrior. Who knows, maybe I could even make her my wife."
Kodort's smile vanished, replaced by an icy glare.
"Keep your words to yourself wolf. You just crossed a line."
Meanwhile Boozer, having finished slaughtering the elves surrounding him, stood in the middle of a field of corpses.
The fallen soldiers around him were covered in black webs, a macabre sign of his power. He observed the skirmish with a carnivorous grin.
"Hmph. I must admit, you are not to be underestimated. But it's time to end this masquerade."
He pulled out a strange object from his belt—an artifact with shades of violet black and white resembling a compass. The dwarves stationed in the defensive ranks observed him suspiciously.
"What is that?" one of them asked, gripping an Iberian-handled axe.
"I don't know but I have a bad feeling about it" another replied, his gaze fixed on Boozer.
The demon threw the object into the air.
With his arachnid limbs, he shot out webs that transformed into waves of dark energy shattering the object in a deafening explosion.
But against all expectations a strange piercing sound similar to a supernatural howl emanated from the debris.
A shiver ran through the ranks of Azulferia's soldiers.
All eyes were on Boozer, who displayed a sinister smile waiting for his move to take effect.
Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared in the sky, crashing violently to the ground and sending debris flying in all directions.
A terrifying figure emerged—a monstrous hybrid, a fusion of a beast and a fox with immense claws and a bestial presence.
Zotoune a massive goblin, stared at the creature in astonishment.
"That… that's a Capelobo!" he murmured.
Beside him Gaynor, a dwarven warrior known for his enlightened and methodical temperament replied gravely.
"A Capelobo? These creatures usually live in the caves of the Nymenor forests. They never leave their territory except to hunt in the ponds what is he doing here?"
Boozer stepped forward, positioning himself to the right of the monster he chuckled.
"Wahaha! This is the work of the dark mage Woltuk this artifact emitted hypnotic ultrasounds capable of subjugating this beast against you i will spare no means."
Saachvi and Maximilien, two soldiers of Ednia watched the scene tensely.
Maximilien, his jaw clenched, shouted to rally his troops.
"Soldiers, hold your positions! Don't give in!"
He moved toward the Council of Sages to plan a counterattack against the monster. Meanwhile, Boozer let out a thunderous roar.
"Capelobo, attack!"
The monster charged, sowing terror and destruction. A new phase of the battle began, wreaking havoc across the battlefield.
