Amidst the chaos of battle, the Capelobo stood out for its unparalleled ferocity.
With a titanic leap it soared into the air unleashing a terrifying guttural cry:
"Whoouuuuuu!"
The creature, with its massive arms, lunged straight toward the Council of Sages, its murderous intent clear.
Zotoune, the massive goblin, raised his iron shield—an exceptional work of Azulferian dwarf artisans.
As the Capelobo's claws struck, the shield shattered into fragments. Zotoune was thrown backward but managed to recover just in time to dodge the beast's razor-sharp talons.
Gaynor, the dwarven warrior wielding a cubic mace, remained unnervingly calm, his gaze meticulously tracking every movement of the beast. He bellowed:
"Now!"
At his command, several fairies burst forth from the rear guard, their small figures radiating with an enchanting aura.
They concentrated their energy into a dazzling golden beam, enveloping the Capelobo in a luminous sphere.
The glow bathed the creature's brown fur, and its large red eyes squinted in rage as it struggled in vain. Paralyzed by the fairies' magic, it was rendered motionless.
"Keep it suspended in the air!" a fairy instructed, leading her companions in a synchronized dance.
Through their combined efforts, the Capelobo was lifted, then violently slammed into the ground.
The cycle repeated several times, each impact shaking the battlefield and sending up clouds of dust.
The beast howled with every fall, its cry reverberating across the war-torn landscape.
Lanny a member of the Council of Sages, stepped forward bow in hand.
Raising his arm he gave the order:
"Archer unit, fire!"
Elven and dwarven archers loosed a coordinated volley of enchanted arrows, each inscribed with glowing runes.
The projectiles pierced the creature's hide, drawing forth splashes of violet blood.
"Now it's your turn, Poltyx!" Gaynor called out.
Poltyx the fairy closed her eyes and focused her energy.
Around her debris from ruined buildings, abandoned weapons, and shattered armor fragments began to levitate.
A massive sphere took form, comprised of these compressed remnants—an amalgamation of destruction forged into a single deadly force.
With a graceful motion, Poltyx directed the sphere.
It hurtled toward the Capelobo enclosing it within a swirling prison of metal and stone.
The impact was deafening, leaving the beast immobilized within the rotating mass, now hovering mid-air.
Exhausted, Poltyx collapsed, but Zotoune caught her at the last moment.
Holding her in his arms, his expression was a mix of worry and admiration.
"Lady Poltyx, are you alright?" a fairy asked anxiously, her wings fluttering with concern.
Zotoune shared the sentiment.
"You don't look well," he murmured.
Though pale and drenched in sweat, Poltyx managed a faint smile to reassure them.
"I… just overexerted myself a little. It's nothing serious."
Lanny approached Gaynor who still had his eyes locked on the floating sphere, his mace at the ready.
"We got it" Lanny said, a glimmer of hope in his voice.
But Gaynor remained cautious his attention unwavering.
Suddenly, a guttural roar, more powerful than before, erupted from the sphere.
"WOOOUUUUUU!"
The Capelobo in a violent frenzy shattered its prison.
Fragments of metal and stone exploded outward in all directions.
Though covered in wounds and bleeding profusely with its glowing violet blood, the beast only grew more enraged.
Landing heavily, it charged toward the Confederation's troops with unexpected speed.
"Hold your ground!" Lanny commanded firmly. "We must not falter!"
But then the Capelobo suddenly halted, its massive red eyes fixated on something in the distance.
A tall figure approached, mounted on a majestic eight-legged Sleipnir.
Her long white hair flowed in the wind, and her commanding aura illuminated the battlefield.
"Thaloria…" Lanny murmured, immediately recognizing the warrior.
Drawn to its new target, the Capelobo rushed forward. Thaloria did not hesitate.
She unsheathed her rune-engraved bow and fired a rapid succession of radiant arrows, striking the beast's legs.
Each arrow found its mark, slowing the monster and throwing it off balance.
As the Capelobo closed in dangerously, Thaloria leaped gracefully from her mount.
Her bow transformed into a long, slender sword with silver and gold hues.
The blade radiated an intense light akin to a sun piercing the darkness.
With flawless precision, she landed atop the beast and brought her sword down in a decisive strike.
The blow carved deep into the Capelobo, silencing its monstrous howls and halting its rampage.
The creature convulsed in its final moments before collapsing into a lifeless heap.
Thaloria rose her silhouette bathed, in ethereal light raising her sword high she declared with unwavering conviction:
"Warriors! Do not falter! For the future of the great Federation of Azulferia!"
Inspired by her valor the soldiers roared in defiance, rallying for the battles yet to come.
