Sylena and Thaloria accompanied by a squad of Elven soldiers, rushed toward the epicenter of the explosion.
The sight that met them was one of chilling violence.
The ground was strewn with debris, trees were shattered, and the corpse of a demon lay in a pool of blackened blood.
A short distance away, a man knelt, his white hair disheveled around his face.
His body bore deep wounds and countless gashes, yet he still drew breath.
It was Kaylen, the White Tiger.
Thaloria turned to her subordinates and ordered in a firm tone:"Tend to his wounds immediately."
The elves hurried forward, channeling golden and green healing energies around Kaylen's battered body.
Thaloria approached him and offered a flask of water.
"Here, drink. You need it."
Kaylen, breathing heavily, lifted his head and accepted the flask with gratitude.
"Thank you…" he murmured before taking a sip.
Sylena sat beside him, her eyes shining with admiration
"Incredible… You managed to defeat the Prince of Katakiel."
Thaloria added, with a measured smile:"Indeed, Kaylen. Few can boast of such an incroyable achievement."
Kaylen looked up at Thaloria, a faint smile on his face despite his pain."I can sense that you are just as powerful, Lady Thaloria…"
Suddenly, the air changed.
A chilling wave swept through the clearing, making the atmosphere heavy and suffocating.
The elves began to tremble, sweat beading on their foreheads.
Some collapsed to their knees, unable to withstand the terrifying pressure.
A piercing cry shattered the silence, echoing from the sky.
WROAAAAAA!
A colossal shadow loomed above them before crashing into the ground with earth-shaking force.
The impact sent tremors through the battlefield.
Before them stood a monstrous beast—an enormous Nandi bear with crimson fur, roaring with unrestrained dominance.
At its side stood a man.
His body was a mountain of muscle, clad in a gladiator's armor.
Resting on his shoulder was a massive spiked iron mace.
His disheveled, light-purple hair added to his wild and untamed aura.
The elves immediately recognized him, and a shudder of fear ran through their ranks.
Pryzor.
The Beast King of the Etrakios Kingdom.
Pryzor furrowed his brows, his gaze scanning the battlefield before settling on Niolz's lifeless body.
He narrowed his eyes and muttered to himself:"Hmm… Quite the crowd here. All this time, I've been searching for worthy warriors. But all I find are elves and goblins."
His piercing stare locked onto Kaylen, and a predatory grin spread across his face."I sensed an extraordinary battle here. Niolz must have been fighting a powerful human, so I thought—why not come and see for myself?"
Pryzor stepped forward, examining Niolz's corpse before letting out a chuckle."Hahaha! So this is how he met his end. Defeated. That's what I love about battle—you never know when it's truly over…"
He paused, crossing his arms before slightly inclining his head, an unusual air of respect on his face."Rest in dignity, Prince Niolz of Katakiel."
Then, his gaze shifted toward the survivors—Sylena, Thaloria, and Kaylen.
"And now… I want to savor the main course."
He struck his chest with his free hand and roared:"Beast Presence!"
A wild and overwhelming aura erupted from Pryzor.
His sheer power was so oppressive that the remaining elves collapsed instantly, unconscious.
Even the trees around him seemed to shrink under his dominance.
Only three people remained standing before him—Sylena, Thaloria, and Kaylen.
Kaylen, though still weakened from his fight with Niolz, felt his body tremble under the weight of Pryzor's aura.
His mind, however, remained sharp. He clenched his fists, staring at the Beast King with a mix of awe and defiance.
"This guy is a monster… I don't see how I can win this." The thought raced through his mind like a cold whisper of doubt.
But as he hesitated, his eyes met Sylena's. She was smiling at him, a quiet yet unshakable determination glowing in her gaze.
Kaylen gritted his teeth and slowly, but firmly, pushed himself to his feet.
Thaloria, seeing his resolve, gave Sylena a subtle nod before stepping forward.
A golden light shimmered around her hands, signaling her readiness for battle.
Pryzor, amused by their defiance, burst into laughter."Hahaha! You dare stand against me? I'll give you credit—you have guts. But soon, you'll kneel before Pryzor."
He pointed his massive spiked mace at them, his eyes gleaming with primal excitement."Come, then. Show me if you are worthy of being my opponents!"
He roared once more his cry reverberating through the forest, while the colossal Nandi bear behind him growled ready to support its master.
Kaylen, Sylena, and Thaloria exchanged one final glance.
Without a word they assumed their battle stances prepared to face the monstrous challenge before them.
The duel against the Beast King had begun.
