Kaylen wounded but resolute, brandished his sword and unleashed a flurry of powerful strikes against Pryzor.
However, Pryzor made no effort to dodge simply taking the hits without flinching, a mocking grin on his face.
From a distance, Sylena fired arrow after arrow, but they bounced off Pryzor's runic armor as if they were nothing more than twigs.
Realizing their attacks were ineffective,Thaloria made a bold decision.
She leaped into the air, her sword shimmering with Elven energy, aiming to cleave Pryzor in two.
Yet, despite his massive frame, the beast-man was astonishingly quick.
He parried her attack with his iron mace and leaped backward, landing near his colossal Nandi bear.
He burst into laughter, clapping sarcastically."Magnificent! It's been a long time since I've seen such tenacity. I've waged countless campaigns across this continent, and no one has lasted more than twenty seconds against me."
His predatory gaze swept over them as he added:"You have earned my respect. Tell me your names. I want to know the names of my defeated ennemie who will be sung in the glories of Pryzor."
Kaylen, breathing heavily with blood dripping from his mouth, forced himself to stand."Kaylen… the White Tiger… right hand of Jonady Kaya, Monarch of the Human Nation."
Thaloria spoke next, her voice filled with pride despite her exhaustion."Thaloria… member of the Council of Sages… and leader of Azulferia."
Pryzor shifted his gaze toward Sylena, but before she could speak, Thaloria continued:"She is my sister, Sylena."
Pryzor ran a hand through the fur of his Nandi bear, which growled in response.
In the next instant, the colossal beast charged at Kaylen sending him crashing violently into the ruins of a building.
Thaloria glanced at him in concern, but before she could react, Pryzor appeared behind her his speed defying logic.
"Do you really think now is the time to be distracted?" he growled.
She barely dodged, but Pryzor pressed his assault, delivering a brutal elbow strike to her face.
Thaloria staggered, blood trickling from her lip.
Sylena, witnessing the scene, screamed in despair:"Big sister!"
Pryzor smirked, almost with respect.
"I can't afford to hold back. That would be an insult to the warrior you are."
Thaloria wiped the blood from her mouth and stood tall.
A green and white light began to envelop her body."Elvihine!" she murmured, activating an ancient Elven art.
A surge of powerful energy amplified her abilities.
Her gaze burned with determination as she dashed toward Pryzor, her sword radiating with brilliant light.
A fierce battle erupted between them.
Pryzor countered each strike with sheer brute force, while Thaloria retaliated with the grace and swiftness of the Elves.
Sylena, exhausted and overwhelmed, watched helplessly."I'm nothing but dead weight… just a spectator…" she thought, clenching her fists.
Then, in a flash of steel, Thaloria managed to slash Pryzor's left cheek.
A single drop of blood trickled down his face.
Pryzor touched the wound and, against all expectations, burst into laughter."Fascinating! But I hope that's not all?"
Suddenly, glowing runes ignited on his armor, emitting a brilliant green light.
In an instant, a powerful energy barrier formed around him, triggering a massive explosion that shook the entire battlefield.
Thaloria, drained, collapsed to her knees.
She struggled to rise, but Pryzor appeared before her and delivered a devastating punch to her abdomen.
She coughed up blood before falling unconscious.
Sylena, horrified, ran to her sister, screaming:"No! Big sister!"
She struck Pryzor with all her might, her fists pounding against his armor.
But the beast-man remained motionless, looking at her with indifference.
With a swift motion, he seized Sylena by the throat and lifted her into the air.
"Out of respect for your elder sister, I will make this quick after the end of this conflict, I will build statues in your image. Your struggle deserves to be remembered."
Sylena, tears streaming down her face, closed her eyes, cursing her powerlessness.
"Someone… p-please… help…"
Suddenly, the pressure on her throat vanished.
Opening her eyes she saw a man with chestnut hair, clad in a military uniform.
Jonady Kaya.
The Monarch of the Human Nation.
With a faint breath, Sylena murmured:"you majesty sir Kaya…"
Jonady looked down at her with a calm smile.
"Sorry for the delay. I was organizing the forces for this battle."
He gently set Sylena on the ground before turning to face Pryzor.
Pryzor observed the newcomer with intrigue."So, you're Jonady Kaya the Hero of Ednia? She called you majesty… which means you became now the new Monarch of the Human Nation."
He chuckled darkly.
"Hahaha! This is why I love battles so much you will never know what might happen. It's good that you've come here, to the continent of Alderia. I had planned to seek you out in Ednia, but here you are."
Jonady, his expression cold and resolute, drew his sword.
"Come, Pryzor."
