Chapter 99: Girls' Conversations

Under the moonlight, the battles came to an end.

Victory now belonged to the alliance of the Kingdom of Ednia and the Great Confederation of Azulferia.

Triumphing over King Pryzor of Etrakios and Prince Niolz of Katakiel.

A few werewolves, too injured to escape were captured, while the allies celebrated their victory.

Jonady and his companions returned to the castle of Elsihore.

The human king, visibly exhausted but still standing tall supported Kaylen by the arm. The latter, his face marked with bruises and scratches grumbled slightly as he moved. "Are you tired, Kaylen?" Jonady teased.

Kaylen sniffed and replied with a sly smile: "Look at yourself before talking, Jonady."

"You're not exactly in better shape."

Suddenly, a figure dressed in a white jacket with glasses on her nose and hazel hair leaped onto Kaylen.

"Ouch, Sienna!" he exclaimed, grimacing in pain.

The young woman clearly emotional, hugged Kaylen tightly.

Her violet eyes sparkled with unshed tears.

"I was so scared that something would happen to you Kaylen!" she said her voice trembling.

Kaylen, softened despite his pain gently removed Sienna's glasses to wipe her tears with his palm.

"I'm fine, Sienna" he murmured reassuringly". "I'm not going anywhere."

She nodded, burying her face in his embrace, finding comfort in his arms.

Seeing that they needed a moment of privacy. Jonady and the others discreetly stepped away.

A little further, Thaloria approached with graceful steps.

"You must all be exhausted," she said in a calm tone.

"Zoltun and Poltyx are preparing rooms for everyone you should rest now."

Sylena, her hair mixed with white and dark gray, shyly approached Jonady.

"Sir Kaya… I… I can show you to your room, if you wish."

Jonady nodded silently and followed her. Sylena led him to a spacious room, decorated with a large wooden bed finely carved.

"Thank you Sylena," he said simply.

The young elf blushed slightly and replied, hesitantly:"I-I'll leave you… Good night."

She gently closed the door behind her. Jonady exhausted, collapsed onto the bed letting the weight of the day slip away in a restful sleep.

Later that night, in the royal bath of the castle a hot spring adorned with leaves engraved with elvish runes glowed faintly.

The room seemed to tell the legends of the ancient united peoples, with statues representing elves, goblins, dwarves, and fairies.

Sylena was already immersed in the water. Her hair floated gently around her as she discreetly admired the figure of a young woman opposite her.

Nilyna, a beauty with bronzed skin and long red hair, caught her gaze.

"Is there something wrong with my face?" Nilyna asked teasingly.

Sylena embarrassed, quickly raised her hands.

"N-No, Lady Nilyna!" she stammered. "It's just that… I admire your beauty, i was wondering myself what will it takes to be as beautiful as you."

Nilyna smiled warmly and approached, taking Sylena's hands in hers.

She placed her palms against the elf's cheeks and gently replied.

"You're beautiful too Sylena you'll see as you grow, your charm will evolve no boy will be able to resist you."

Sylena's long ears twitched, and she murmured: "Y-You really think so?"

Nilyna burst a genuine beautiful smile.

"Yes, I'm sure of it."

At that moment, Sienna and Raelia entered the room joining the spring.

Nilyna greeted them with a playful smile.

"So, my dear scientist, have you made any progress?" she asked mischievously to Sienna.

Sienna's violet eyes turned away as she blushed.

"I…," she began but Nilyna continued with a teasing smile.

"You've finally managed to seduce the White Tiger, after all."

Sienna, feeling the curious gazes of Sylena and Raelia, finally gave in.

She told them everything, her face turning as red as a ripe apple.

Sylena, who was listening intently also blushed, her ears trembling with embarrassment.

The conversation lightened after that.

"The architecture of Azulferia is remarkable," Sienna said, skillfully changing the subject. "I'd love to create similar structures in Ednia."

Sylena thrilled to hear praise for her country, responded enthusiastically:

"If you want, I can take you to the forge. You'll meet Grandpa Thornor. He knows so much!"

Nilyna, amused, intervened.

"Oh, you can do that, Sylena?"

The elf looked away slightly, embarrassed. "Yes… Big Sister Nilyna," she said shyly.

Raelia curious asked: "Sylena, why do you call Nilyna 'Big Sister'?"

Sylena looked away, her cheeks slightly flushed. "I… I do not know. Lady Nilyna gives off an aura of confidence. I feel secure in her presence just like with my older sister, Thaloria."

Nilyna approached Sylena and wrapped her arms around her.

"I don't mind if you call me Big Sister," she said softly. "I grew up with Raelia since I was six. We're like sisters and having a little sister is wonderful. So, don't call me Lady Nilyna anymore."

Sylena moved, murmured shyly:

"Yes… B-Big Sister Nilyna."

Nilyna smiled warmly and gently stroked the top of her new little sister's head.

A sweet bond was forming between them, marking a new chapter in their friendship and alliance.
