Chapter 100: The Fiancée of Elsihore Castle

Thaloria watched her brother Lanny, unconscious and lying on a bed.

Niniel, sitting at his bedside, held Lanny's hand firmly a look of concern on his face.

Thaloria placed a comforting hand on his shoulder."Don't worry," she murmured softly. "In a few hours, he'll wake up."

Niniel timidly nodded, and after a moment, he managed a faint smile."Yes... It's Lanny we're talking about, after all."Reassured, she left the room, leaving Niniel to watch over their brother.

In the hallway, Thaloria ran into her older brother Kodort.

But she stopped in her tracks, her eyes wide as she noticed his appearance.

He was missing an arm, his right eye was covered by a bandage, and his once golden hair was now as white as snow."Big brother Kodort... D-Did you perhaps the lifeeEssence?" she exclaimed, stunned.

Kodort gently placed a hand on his sister's shoulder."Sorry, Ria... My opponent was truly formidable he pushed me to my limits."

Tears welled up in Thaloria's eyes.

She buried her face in Kodort's chest, unable to hold back her grief."Haha don't be so sad, little sister. I'm fine," he said with a reassuring laugh.

"Well, given my condition, I'll have to stop my expeditions, but it's not so bad Azulferia needs to be rebuilt, and I'll be here to help."

He gave her a warm smile, and Thaloria nodded, comforted despite everything.

The next day tomorrow morning, Jonady was in a large dining hall, surrounded by the members of the Council of Sages.

They were enjoying a hearty breakfast around a massive, finely carved wooden table.

Raelia, sitting to his right, wore a simple pink kimono adorned with yellow patterns, emphasizing her natural elegance.

Sienna, in a purple kimono, held Kaylen's left arm, teasing him."So, how do you find me?" she asked mischievously.

Kaylen, amused, replied with a smile,"You're stunning, Sienna."Blushing like a tomato, Sienna looked away.

Thaloria, watching the scene kindly, said,"I'm glad you like our elven-made clothing."

Nilyna, in a pale yellow kimono, nodded."It's beautiful. It's so fine, I feel like I'm wearing pajamas."

Elven servants then entered the room, bringing drinks and plates filled with carefully prepared flans.

While everyone enjoyed their food, Jonady commented,"It's delicious."

Sylena, who had supervised the serving, blushed slightly and replied,"I'm glad you like it, Sir Jonady."

Jonady smiled warmly."No need for formality, Sylena. You're a princess, but so am I. Call me Jonady."

A little hesitant, she murmured, blushing,"I-Iff it's alright with you… J-Jonady."

After the meal, the conversation turned toward the future of both nations.

Thaloria, looking at Jonady seriously, said,

"Alright, Sir Jonady. It's time to discuss the future."

Jonady nodded.

"Indeed, Lady Thaloria. Upon arriving in your nation, i was charmed by your constructions and craftsmanship. I'd like to incorporate some of your techniques into Ednia."

Sienna, passionate, intervened,"Your structures require remarkable skill. This morning, I went to Thornor's forge with Sylena, and my scientific eyes were stunned."

Jonady, surprised, smiled inwardly.

It was the first time he had seen Sienna praise someone else's genius."I'd like to request your permission for elven and dwarf artisans to come work in Ednia," he continued.

Gaynor, a sturdy dwarf, asked suspiciously,"In your kingdom?"

Thaloria furrowed her brows slightly and placed a hand on her chin, thinking."Hmmp. A transfer of knowledge..." she murmured.

Jonady nodded with a smile."Exactly. In the future I plan to make Ednia a great nation serving as a commercial relay bridge. I'd also like to establish a mutual defense pact with your nation. We must live in harmony."

Zoltun, an elven sage, approved with a smile."Indeed, peace is essential for prosperity."

Poltyx, a fairy fluttering joyfully, added,"That would be wonderful. I love the honey from your kingdom!"

Thaloria exchanged a glance with her younger sister Sylena, then turned her gaze toward Jonady.

"I will accept your proposal, but as member of coucil of sage i need more to give you that."

Jonady, intrigued, asked,"What condition do you need to accept miss Thaloria ?"

Thaloria replied calmly smile looking Sylena.

" A political union beetween our two state so take my little sister Sylena as fiancee."

A surprised silence fell over the room.

Sylena, as red as a pomegranate, stood up abruptly from her chair.

"B-Big sister what do you do?!" she stammered trying to interject.

Thaloria gave her a soft but firm look.

"What's wrong, little Syl? do not pretend their is nothing.I've noticed your looks toward this man."

Sylena lowered her eyes, embarrassed.

Unable to deny her sister's words, she shyly turned her gaze away stealing brief glances at Jonady.

Jonady looked toward Raelia, who sighed slightly.

"You're really so simple, Jonady but… it benefits the kingdom. And besides, I like Sylena."

With a determined smile Jonady stood up, walked toward Sylena, and, kneeling before her, asked,

"Sylena, will you be my fiancée?"

The young elf blushing with confusion, looked at the ground for a moment before murmuring softly."Y-Yes…"

Thaloria stood up, raising a glass in celebration.

"Alright! It's decided today we officially seal the alliance between the Great Confederation of Azulferia and the Island Kingdom of Ednia."

Everyone stood up to make a toast, but the celebration was interrupted.

An elf rushed into the room.

"L-Lady Thaloria sorry to interrupt!.But in front of Elsihore Castle, a military delegation from the Centaur Kingdom requests an audience with the Council of Sages."
