Chapter 124: Practice Guidance

Since Naruto had lost to Sasuke once again, he began searching for ways to grow stronger.

He initially planned to consult Jiraiya, but upon learning that Jiraiya had left the village for his "research," he had to abandon the idea.

"What should I do? The pervy sage isn't here; how can I train now?" Naruto scratched his head in frustration.

"Naruto!" Sakura, who happened to be walking by, called out when she saw him looking troubled. "What's wrong?"

"I lost to Sasuke again, and it's eating at me," Naruto replied, his voice filled with disappointment. "Now Sasuke doesn't even want to talk to me. Maybe he doesn't respect my strength…"

Ever since Sasuke had been imprisoned, Naruto had been visiting him every day. However, Sasuke remained distant, cold, and completely unwilling to communicate.

"Yeah…" Sakura sighed, sharing Naruto's disappointment.

She, too, had wanted to visit Sasuke, but Lady Tsunade had strictly limited contact to Naruto and a few select Jonin. No one else was permitted near him.

Unable to see Sasuke herself, Sakura grew increasingly worried about his condition.

"So," Naruto continued, clenching his fists with determination, "I want to train even harder. I have to catch up with Sasuke, no matter what! But without the pervy sage…"

Sakura thought for a moment and suggested, "Why not ask Mr. Kakashi?"

"That's it! I'll go find him right now!" Naruto exclaimed, smacking his palm in realization. "Thanks, Sakura!"

With that, Naruto dashed off, leaving Sakura standing in a cloud of dust, her hair slightly mussed from his abrupt departure.

Watching him go, Sakura thought to herself, I need to train with Lady Tsunade as well. Sasuke is so much stronger than both of us… If I don't improve, I'll never be able to stand by his side.

Meanwhile, Kakashi was speaking with Yamato and Kirito, discussing Naruto's training.

"Tenzo, are you sure you can handle this?" Kakashi asked with a smile.

"While I'm not as strong as the First Hokage or Kirito, I should be fine as long as Naruto doesn't completely lose control," Yamato replied, removing his Anbu mask to reveal his brown hair and kind eyes. "Also, please, call me Yamato, not Tenzo."

Kakashi chuckled. "I can't help it—it's a habit from our Anbu days."

Kirito chimed in, "Since Yamato will monitor Naruto, that settles it. Better you than me."

As Naruto's mentor, Kakashi had realized it was time for Naruto to take his training to the next level. He had devised a plan for Naruto to practice using "multi-shadow clones" to work on the nature transformation of his chakra.

However, there was a risk. The intense training could drain Naruto's chakra reserves, potentially causing the Nine Tails' chakra to leak and send Naruto into a rampage. To prevent this, Kakashi sought Kirito's help.

Kirito, however, declined, saying, "For minor outbursts, Yamato is more than capable. He should get used to handling such situations. What if I'm unavailable one day?" In truth, Kirito simply wanted to spend more time with TenTen.

Tsunade, aware of Kirito's ulterior motives, agreed to the arrangement.

As Kakashi, Yamato, and Kirito continued their discussion, Naruto arrived, running full speed toward them.

"Mr. Kakashi! Kirito! You're both here!" Naruto shouted excitedly. He stopped to catch his breath and then turned to Kakashi. "Mr. Kakashi, I want to get stronger. Please help me train!"

Kakashi smiled. "How fortunate—we were just talking about that. I have a practice plan for you."

"Really? That's great!" Naruto cheered. "What kind of training?"

"Come with me, and I'll explain everything," Kakashi said, motioning for Naruto to follow.

At the Third Training Ground, a familiar location for Team Seven, Kakashi began his explanation. Joining them were Kirito and Yamato.

"Before we start, let me introduce Yamato," Kakashi said. "He's my former colleague and will assist you during your training."

Yamato gave a small wave, but Naruto looked at him with curiosity.

Kakashi then explained the training method: using shadow clones to rapidly accelerate his mastery of chakra nature transformation. Since shadow clones transfer their experience back to the original, Naruto could learn much faster.

Naruto, having some familiarity with Lightning Release techniques, quickly grasped the concept. However, when he showed off his "Lightning Fang" jutsu, Kakashi shook his head. The nature transformation wasn't sufficient.

Using chakra test paper, Kakashi revealed that Naruto's natural chakra attribute was wind. He gave Naruto a choice: either deepen his mastery of Lightning Release, which would be quicker but less effective, or start fresh with Wind Release, which could lead to greater results.

Naruto, visibly conflicted, struggled to decide.

Seeing Naruto's indecision, Kirito stepped forward. "Let me show you the potential outcomes. Maybe that'll help you choose."

Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Wait, you've already mastered this?"

Kirito smirked. Of course, I've been working on this since I first learned about chakra manipulation.

He conjured a blue spiraling sphere in his palm. "This is a standard Rasengan," he said. Then, with a subtle adjustment, the Rasengan began glowing faintly with white light as a layer of electrical energy enveloped it.

"This is the Rasengan infused with Lightning Release," Kirito explained. He threw the enhanced Rasengan toward a wooden target. The attack became invisible mid-flight, only revealing itself upon impact. A large swirl-shaped hole exploded through the target.

"It's amazing!" Naruto exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement.

Next, Kirito created another Rasengan, this time infused with Wind Release. The sphere grew larger, transforming into a rotating white shuriken. He hurled it at another target, where it expanded into a destructive storm, obliterating the wood entirely.

"Wind Release Rasengan is extremely powerful," Kirito said. "But it's also very dangerous. A direct hit is usually fatal."

Kakashi, impressed by Kirito's demonstration, turned to Naruto. "So, what do you think? Which path will you choose?"

Naruto's eyes sparkled as he stared at the aftermath of Kirito's attacks. The choice was clear—but for now, he remained silent, weighing his options.
