The biting wind whistled as heavy snow began to fall, swirling through the air.
Pedestrians hurried along the street, their steps quick and purposeful.
Conrad followed the address, searching until he reached the building. Looking up, he noticed the second floor was dark.
He waited at the corner of the building.
After half an hour, they finally arrived.
"The beef brisket with tomatoes at that restaurant was really awful. Next time, just buy some brisket and I'll cook it for you."
It was Melody's voice.
He couldn't help but look towards the source of the sound, immediately spotting her.
She wore a white hat, or maybe it was pink, or perhaps grayish-white, but everything covered in snow had turned pure white.
Her waist had thickened, and she no longer stumbled as she walked through the snow.
Beside her stood a tall figure, his eyes gazing at her with tenderness.
But when that gaze swept over Conrad, the figure paused for a moment.
