"I lost the baby," Abrielle's voice was faint, her hand touching her flat stomach. She should be rejoicing that the baby died after all she never wanted. It wasn't meant to exist, but why did it feel wrong to celebrate?

"You don't seem sad about it. I expected as much." Cedric added, his tone was neutral making it hard to decipher what he felt.

Abrielle was at a loss for words; she lost her acting skills at that moment, her true expression showing. There was guilt written on her face. She didn't want a baby or anything that would bind her to Cedric.

Imagine how fucked up things would get if it was known that he was carrying his child. She might even get an official bounty on her head. "There is no need to cry over spilt milk. The baby is already gone." She answered, her head bowed; the guilt that gripped her heart made it hard for her to hold his gaze.
