Lucas finally made it back to his apartment, the weight of the day pressing down on him like a heavy blanket. The moment the door closed behind him, he kicked off his shoes and stumbled toward the sofa, collapsing onto it with a loud exhale. He draped an arm over his eyes, letting the silence of the room settle around him.

But something nagged at the back of his mind—a faint tug, like he was forgetting something important. He frowned, lifting his arm slightly to glance around the room as if the answer might magically appear.

"What am I forgetting…?" he muttered to himself, his voice barely above a whisper.

The answer came in the form of the front door slamming open.

"Lucas!"

He flinched, sitting up abruptly as Lena stormed into the apartment. Her sharp features were drawn into a furious scowl, her short dark hair bouncing as she marched into the living room. She dropped her bag onto the floor with a loud thud, her hands planted firmly on her hips.
