Chase sighed. He truly couldn't comprehend why Diana wanted this so eagerly. It wasn't like she gained much from it—if anything, he was the one benefiting the most. He stared up at her, watching as she patiently waited for his response, silver eyes unwavering. With another sigh, he reached up, pulling her down for a brief kiss before closing his eyes.
"I'll have my answer after I wake up," he murmured.
Diana nodded and carefully shifted away, allowing him to rest. The moment she stood, Alice smirked from nearby.
"Have you finally finished your little make-out session with your husband?" she teased.
Diana's face flushed slightly, but she huffed in response. Her long black hair had draped over both of them, concealing their exchange from the others. "We were talking about something important for our future," she corrected, crossing her arms.
Alice only snickered. Meanwhile, Diana turned her attention to the ongoing discussion.
