Zoya's POV
I didn't fret when he swept me off my feet, leading me out of the dungeon – into his courtyard and bedroom chamber.
I just had to get used to his figure even though it was scary and also the eyes that were fixated on us because the servants hadn't seen the soft side of their master before.
"You didn't have to carry me though." I was only able to speak when he had dropped me gently on the bed.
"I made you suffer, so I must care for you even if it looks silly." He stepped away from me.
How I wished he had a human figure, maybe I might be at ease. Each glance at him gave me a certain fear but somehow, I was calm with him now.
"About being your queen…" I trailed off, staring at him.
"Yes, that is the reason you are here not just to be my wife but to be my Lycan Queen." He said steadily.
"I.. I think it's too fast and I'm not ready for that." I paused, lowering my gaze.
