Upon hearing Brother A-Long's voice, Kent immediately replied, "That's right. Long Buyu is now, just like you guys, sworn to follow me. From now on, you all are my brothers. Wait for me at the city gate; I've got something important to take care of."
"Wow, boss, you're amazing! Long Buyu is a legend among independent mercenaries. His name is famous, and he's incredibly strong. You actually managed to recruit him? I really admire you, truly humbled!" A-Long exclaimed, showering Kent with flattery.
Kent ignored the praise and said, "I'll be there soon. You guys wait for me at the city gate."
After hanging up, Kent found that Zhao Mengxi had gone to class, so he left the house. Instead of riding his bike, he hailed a taxi and headed straight for the city gate.
An hour later, Kent got out of the taxi and saw Long Buyu walking briskly towards him, accompanied by A-Long and the other two.
"Boss, long time no see! I thought you had forgotten about us three brothers!" A-Long said happily.
Kent nodded and replied, "How could I? Before, I had no urgent business, so keeping you guys around was just wasting time."
"Boss, so you called us back because you have something for us to do?" The Mouse asked.
"That's right. And this is no small matter. There's a lot of room for maneuver, and the profits are huge. If you handle it well, I'll make sure you choke on your own soup," Kent said with a touch of pride.
"That impressive? Are you serious?" Green Hair expressed doubt.
Long Buyu, however, appeared thoughtful and then subtly shook his head, clearly not convinced by Kent's words.
Kent didn't explain further and said, "Let's have a big meal at noon and talk about business then. For now, follow me to the filing office."
Upon hearing this, Long Buyu's expression changed slightly, and he couldn't help but ask, "Kent... no, boss, you didn't really complete the exploration task for the Mowling Secret Realm, did you?"
"Of course. I've been working hard in the Mowling Secret Realm for half a month. That's more than enough time to complete the exploration task. Did you think my goals were the same as Huang Jintian's or Ye Yan's?"
"Heh, you really underestimate me. Don't forget, how can a sparrow understand the ambition of a swan? The reason I became the boss isn't just because I'm stronger than you, but because my vision, insight, and way of thinking surpass yours. Maybe you're still not convinced, but soon you'll realize that your doubt was just naive wishful thinking," Kent said without holding back.
These words were direct, causing Long Buyu's face to flush, his fists clenched, clearly unwilling to accept them.
Kent ignored him and led the way to the filing office.
Once inside, Kent entered a different office. The previous one had been for filing registration, but this was the filing verification office, where the results of the exploration were examined.
Long Buyu and the other three followed Kent, curious about what was going on.
"Hello," Kent greeted the verification officer, an old man with a somewhat sleazy appearance but sharp eyes, handing over the exploration license he had received from the filing office.
The old man nodded, took the license, and read aloud, "April 12th, from Microlight City, Kent, a graduate of Saint Stone High, currently a first-year student at Earthstar University, applied to independently explore the three-star Mowling Secret Realm. The filing office has registered and issued this license, allowing Kent to explore the Mowling Secret Realm. He is required to complete the task as soon as possible."
He paused, then continued, "Upon completing the exploration, you are required to write a report, including photos and materials collected during the exploration, and submit them to the filing verification office for inspection."
The old man finished reading and said to Kent, "Yes, this license is valid. Now, I need to verify your identity. Please swipe your identity wristband on the machine."
Kent complied, and with a beep, part of his public information appeared on the computer screen in front of the old man.
The old man glanced at it and, confirming everything was correct, said, "Identity confirmed, Kent. Now, please submit your report, photos, and materials from this Mowling Secret Realm exploration. I will seal them here and immediately send them to the verification hall. A group of mentors will review them, and mercenary specialists will personally inspect them. The final result will be provided in about seven days, and we will contact you directly through your identity wristband."
Kent quickly handed over his 50-page report, the thousands of photos, and the stack of materials that filled half the room. The sheer amount of materials stunned the old man.
"A three-star secret realm only, and there's this much stuff?" he muttered in disbelief, flipping through the report and photos. His eyes widened in shock as he took them all in.
After a while, the old man's expression changed. Looking at Kent, his tone shifted from casual to one of respect and admiration.
"Ali, go call someone," the old man instructed his assistant, Ali, who immediately made a phone call.
Soon, four staff members in uniform appeared and skillfully packed up all the materials Kent had submitted, placing them in four large boxes, sealing them, and carrying them away.
"Alright, Kent, you're free to go," the old man said, as if relieved, and his tone softened.
Kent nodded, thanked him, and left the office with Long Buyu and the others.
He hailed another taxi and booked a table at a nearby restaurant known for its excellent food and reasonable prices.
Twenty minutes later, the five of them entered a private room on the second floor of the restaurant, ordered their food, and drinks.
"Boss, are you about to become a first-star patrol officer?" Brother Long asked, swallowing nervously.
The other three looked at Kent with eager anticipation.
Kent smiled slightly but didn't answer directly. Instead, he got straight to the big news.
"I called you all here because I've struck it big. I've secured a significant mine."
Kent explained everything about the Red Fire Mine, and the four of them were left wide-eyed, breathing heavily, unable to process the information.
Long Buyu was the first to react, his face filled with disbelief. "Boss… the Kylin actually gave you the entire mine? And agreed to move it out of the secret realm, so all we need to do is organize people to transport it back to the city?"
A-Long, Green Hair, and The Mouse anxiously waited for Kent's confirmation.
