Li Wan Feng's Second Shock

The top 50 interdimensional spaces globally refer to the strongest and most powerful among the five to seven-star realms. These rankings do not include the "realms" of eight to nine stars or the "heavens" of ten stars.

Thus, the Fire Realm, which is a six-star dimension, is ranked only around 30th among the top 50. The top ten are almost entirely made up of seven-star realms, where even descendants of divine beasts may exist, and some realms might even harbor true divine beasts, just like the holy-tier Tianhuo Kylin in the Mowling Secret Realm.

In summary, humanity isn't the weakest, but when compared to these powerful realms, we're far behind. As for the Netherworld, it's a vast world comparable in size to the surface of Earthstar, including both land and oceans.

Kent had checked some information on the Netherworld. It's an eight-star interdimensional space with peculiar laws of nature and strange energies. The lifeforms born there are quite different from those on Earthstar.

The Xuan Bird, a major life form from the Netherworld, has the ability to manipulate space.

Kent thought for a moment and said, "Li Uncle, I'll take a look right away."

The car stopped at Li Wan Feng's residence. This place belonged to his wife's younger brother, Lü Liang Zhong, who had come to Earthstar City to develop nearly ten years ago. He hadn't made a big name for himself, but he was doing decently, having bought a mid-range villa.

After getting out of the car, Li Wan Feng summoned his two contracted beasts. One was a 75-level, winged, lower-tier Heavenly-grade Giant Flying Wolf. The other was a large Xuan Bird, with jet-black feathers radiating a cold aura and blood-red eyes. This bird had three legs, with one dark-golden short leg that sometimes hid in the feathers and sometimes showed. This short leg had the ability to manipulate space.

"Kent, you can take a look," Li Wan Feng said with a smile, recalling what had happened earlier.

Kent narrowed his eyes, a golden light flashing in them. After about a minute, he turned to Li Wan Feng and said, "Li Uncle, I've found the cause."

Li Wan Feng was stunned. That was quick! In traditional Chinese medicine, a proper diagnosis takes time and involves observation, questioning, and examination, but Kent had only looked for a minute. It seemed a bit reckless.

However, he didn't complain and instead listened carefully.

Kent continued, "The Flying Wolf's potential has indeed been mostly used up, but not entirely. It can still evolve once more, at most to a higher-tier Heavenly-grade. But the reason it hasn't evolved further is simple. Its innate nature has been suppressed. Due to being trained by you for so long, it has lost its wild instincts."

Li Wan Feng frowned. "What do you mean? Do I have to let it return to the wild?"

Kent nodded seriously. "Exactly. The Flying Wolf's territory is the sky. You should let it fly alone. As long as it reconnects with its inner wildness, the residual energy within it will be absorbed and consumed. To be honest, the Flying Wolf has accumulated too much leftover energy, including toxins and impurities. Only by getting rid of these will it truly make progress."

"What if it doesn't come back?" Li Wan Feng asked, concerned.

This was a common problem with flying beasts. If they fly too far, the contract between the master and the beast weakens. Li Wan Feng wasn't worried if the wolf just flew up for a while within a few thousand meters, as his spiritual strength was strong, and he had dominance in their bond. But if the wolf flew far away, the contract would weaken to the point of no return.

There was, however, a solution, something most people hadn't noticed. Kent, with his Pet Evolution System, knew exactly how to deal with it.

The best solution was to increase the loyalty of the contracted beast.

The Flying Wolf had been contracted for over ten years. Though it appeared obedient, its loyalty was only borderline, fluctuating a lot.

Kent smiled gently and waved his hand. "Don't worry, I can improve the loyalty of the beast to its master."

With a flash of golden light, the Flying Wolf's attitude became even more respectful, its emerald eyes clearing up considerably.

"Li Uncle, let it go free. Just tell it to return here by this time tomorrow," Kent said confidently. "If you're worried, I'll offer the Red Fire Mine as compensation."

Li Wan Feng gritted his teeth. "Forget the Red Fire Mine. If it doesn't return, I believe you can compensate me in other ways, like gifting me a small Fire Dragon. Haha."

He then mentally communicated with the Flying Wolf: "Go freely. Fly as high as you like, but come back here tomorrow at this time. And remember, no harm to humans, understood?"

The Flying Wolf howled and immediately spread its enormous wings, soaring into the sky, quickly disappearing into the clouds.

Li Wan Feng stood there, feeling a bit disappointed.

Kent, however, was undisturbed and continued, "As for the Netherworld Xuan Bird, there's not much that can be done. As they say, 'the environment nurtures its inhabitants.' It's a typical case of 'not suited to the local conditions.' But it's not completely hopeless."

Li Wan Feng's eyes brightened, eager to hear more. "What can be done?"

Kent answered, "A simple solution."

With that, Kent pointed toward the Netherworld Xuan Bird and said, "Upgrade."

Nothing seemed to happen with just a simple point. But Li Wan Feng was shocked as he saw a golden pillar of light shoot out from the Xuan Bird's body—this was an upgrade!

And it didn't stop there. Multiple golden light pillars erupted from the bird's body, making quite a commotion.

"Level 64."

"Level 65."

"Level 66."

"Level 67."

"Level 68."

It actually leveled up five times in one go. Li Wan Feng, who had never even heard of such a thing, stood frozen, unable to speak, in utter shock.

"Li Uncle, this is the most I can do for now," Kent said, his face showing some difficulty.

Li Wan Feng stared at Kent for a full ten seconds before letting out a long sigh and said, "How did you do that? This is amazing. It's even more impressive than immortal techniques."

In Earthstar's ancient myths, gods and immortals existed.

Kent didn't dare admit it was immortal magic. In reality, he had just consumed all the residual experience in the Xuan Bird's body.

Pet Masters guide beasts through evolution and leveling up because many beasts accumulate excess energy that they haven't absorbed. Kent's system treated that excess energy as experience points, and when the experience points met the requirements for an upgrade, it forced the beast to level up.

"Li Uncle, this really is just a simple method, not immortal magic. There's no need to be so shocked," Kent explained awkwardly.
