Aria sat up straighter, pressing her face slightly against the window as she took in the sight before her. Elegant mansions lined the paved roads, their towering iron gates and sprawling gardens evidence of the wealth their owners possessed. The further they drove, the more extravagant the properties became.

When the car finally pulled into a private estate, Aria felt her breath hitch.

The gate, made of wrought iron with intricate silver engravings, opened automatically as the car approached. Beyond it lay an expansive courtyard adorned with meticulously sculpted hedges and a grand fountain at its center, the water cascading down in mesmerizing patterns.
