"We need to get back and inform the leader," The Captain thought.

Just as they were going backwards. They heard a few more flapping sounds coming from behind. Undoubtedly, there are more flying ant beasts present in this area.

Blood on Charles' face was drained. The worst has happened to him. He is running without turning backwards.

As time passed, the backup team was able to escape from the hostile area. Charles was with them as well. For some reason, the flying ant beasts didn't follow them.

They stayed in that area. It took them a few minutes to realise what was going on. The Captain of the backup team started to connect the dots.

The flying ant beasts are present in large numbers in that area. It was the exact same spot where the Sand Bloom Team had lost the connection.

In his mind, he was able to reach a terrible conclusion.

But he dared not tell others before reporting to Leader Gisela.
