i spy

Leo work hard on his new work establishments. The new workers he hired suggest that the company have an application on the phone to make the business more lucrative. Leo however is not interested in profits. He is interested to reach out to more people that wants to find their other half. He understand and nod his head. He told them to go ahead and find someone who can provide them this application service. 

In the evening, he will go visit his neighbour. Every evening, he always see her busy on her computer. He try to look through her items to find more clues who she is. Where did she get the photograph and who is uncle Leo. By midnight he will be standing at the rooftop absorbing and releasing energy that fuel him. He stands there with his cup of coffee with him. He look at the city lights. He mumble to himself 'so beautiful' He hears footsteps and turn around to see Winter standing there. She look at him with fright and she hold her hands together. He smile and wave to her. She bow and look at him with her sad eyes. The longer she look at him, the sadness he feels from her float to him. It makes him want to cry too. He put down the coffee cup and walk to her. He pat her hair slowly while she look up to him. 

"My name is Winter. Do you know me?"

"I am sorry. I don't. I am knowing you for the first time."

"Then, why are you touching my hair?"

Started, he step back. Tonite she is not wearing her glasses. Her eyes are big and round. In it, he can see his own refection. 

"Where are you from?"

"Me? I am the child of this world. Anywhere is home."

"So you move around?"

"Yes. Always moving. You? You don't look have an Asian face..."

"I ... i got to go. I... need to work. Good nite."

He watch her run down stairs. Leo stand alone in the rooftop watching the lonely entrance when he hear footstep again. He wonder of Winter forgotten something. Instead a young boy walk up the stairs. They look at each other. Leo sit down next to his coffee cup while the boy walk to look at the city lights. 

"Are you done releasing the dark energy?"

"Go ahead, my friend."

The boy raise his hands, a pair of angle wings open up. He begin to do a exchange of energy. Dark light exiting and rushing to the skies while clean bright light like energy returns back into him. Once he is done, he yell.

"Wow! Feels great! Make way let me sit, Leo"

" Your wings."

"Opps, my bad."

He keep his wings immediately and it disappear behind him. He smile and sit down. He dig his pocket and take out a cigarette. After he light it up, he start to smoke. 

"You are now a kid, not suppose to smoke, Raphael." 

"Can't help it. I have been smoking since a long long long time ago. Once human started this smoking thing, i have been hooked to smoke."

"But Raphael, now you are in a body of a young man..."

"I haven't smoke in school. I waited till i'm outside. I can't even smoke in the apartment. So coming here to smoke is the only place."

"How long are you going to be in this body?"

"As long as i can. This boy is long gone but his parents are still alive. I ask him permission to take over. He agree and ask me to take care of his parents on his behalf. They are poor farmers yet they work hard for this boy to study in the city. In order not to disappoint them. He pray for help. I agree. "

"Michael, your boss is fine with this?"

"He must be somewhere helping someone. He will understand."

They sit in silence. One whiffing his coffee and the other smoking. They both stare at the city lights. 

"How long should we keep going on?"

"Till we are no longer needed."

"Have you seen, my mother?"

"She? Venus? No for a long time. She vanish since the Renaissance period. I did see Taurus and Jophiel together in South Africa during that period of time. Other than that, you are the one i have seen so far now." 

"We are always, lonely, alone. Carry put our mission."

"We are all helpers of god. Good thing is that some humans are helpers too."

"Yes, some... by the way... what will happen when one angel disappear?"

"I really don't know. I like to know too. When the time comes for me, i can be prepared. Maybe i get to see God again before i am dissolve into the cosmo." 

Again, they stay silence. Raphael stands up. 

"I am going back to the basement." 

He walk to the entrance of the stairs. He stop and say without turning around.

"Winter... is best that you leave her alone. It's her mission in life."

He turn to continue walk downstairs. Leo tilt his head. What does he knows that he doesn't know. 

Leo close his eyes to turn on his invisibility. He enters Winter's apartment, she is no where to be seen. He hears water running sound in the bathroom. He continue to look at the books up in the shelves. Milo comes up to him and meow at Leo. He pat Milo's head gently. Till he hears the door of the bathroom opens.
