I Spy (II)

Leo look up from where he is squatting. He see Winter wrap in her bath towel walking out. He look away and hurry to stand up. She stop walking and turn around. She walks towards the shelves while he hurry to get out of the way. Milo climb on the sofa to watch Leo avoiding Winter. 

"Where did i leave it? I remember it should be here... somewhere here. Milo have you seen my hairdryer?"

Leo look around too for a hairdryer. Milo watch two person searching for a hairdryer which is under their nose. Leo search hard for the it and find it in a basket under the shelves. 

"Here!"

She stand up sharply and look around. Leo realised that he should not make any noise. He cover his mouth and walk silently away. Winter look up the ceiling and wonder if the sound is coming from the upstair neighbour. The water from her hair is dripping around her. She finally find her basket with the hairdryer. On the floor, she notice there is a shoe print. She stare at the print with the hairdryer in her hands. She stand up and place her own foot next to it. The foot print is bigger than her foot. She look up at every corner of the house. While Leo is still covering his mouth and nose is watching her inspecting all corner of her apartment. Milo meow at him. Winter turn around to look at the sofa where Milo is sitting. 

"Who is here?!"

Winter with one hand holding her towel and the other hand raise her hairdryer in front of her. She is sure there is another person in this apartment. She walk to her bedroom and inspect but there is no one in there. Leo keep waiting for her to go change in her bedroom. For awhile, he waited finally Winter decided that it is safe she can go change. She lock the main door and close her bedroom door. Leo creep to the main door and unlock as quietly as possible. He open the main door and leave. Winter who is inside her room, switch on her monitor in the living room. From the corner of her monitor, she see the latch coming off slowly. The door open and close quietly. Winter at that point suddenly understand. 

Leo mean while creep up to his apartment. He remind himself not to visit her around that time. Too risky. He doesn't want to be label as a creeper or stalker. He make himself a cup of coffee and walk upstairs to the rooftop. He open his arms to exchange the dark energy and receive the clean energy from the cosmo. For a long time he stands there. Till he hears footsteps, he turn around to see Raphael with a cigarette dangling on his lips. Raphael did his exchange of energy while Leo sits down and watch the lights blinking in the distance. 

"The examinations are coming up. I can't understand those numbers. Stress!"

"Well being a student, you have to do what you can."

Raphael sit and look at Leo, he then back away a bit. 

"Why didn't i notice."

"What is it?"

"You have grown up. Not chubby kid anymore."

"Yeah i have grown up."

"How many couples have you matchmake so far?"

"Lost count..."

"When you reach a certain number, you might be just become one of us. Not a cupid anymore."

Leo look surprise. 

"What do you mean? Mother never mentioned about this."

"Cupids are meant to be little children. They aren't supposed to grow up. Cupids remain the same throughout their life span. Unless certain conditions are made, they will be move up a grade." 

"What about wings? What happen to the wings?"

"Wings... not sure. why?"

"My cute small cupid wings disappear after i grow up. I am a wingless cupid."

"Well that is odd... You can't fly now?"

"No i don't have that ability. I loss it when the millennium comes. My bow and arrow are gone too. I only left with the ability to be invisible and endless cash to spend. What else... oh i still can charm people when i meet them."

"Well, you can't charm me..."

"You don't count in it. I miss flying. The freedom. The wind. The clouds."

"Well that is nothing special about it. Take a flight to somewhere or learn to fly those hand glider. Sky diving another one!"

As they are talking about flying, they hear foot steps coming up. Soon Winter appears. Leo some how feels uncomfortable. She stands a distance while Raphael says his hellos. Awkwardly, she rush to collect her blanket that she leave in the morning to dry on the washer line. 

"Winter want to sit with us for awhile?"

"Am ... disturbing..."

"Not at all. We are just chilling here."

"You shouldn't be smoking... you are a student."

Raphael look at the cigarette in his finger and laugh. He stomp it out.

"There. I am done with this. How are you these days?"

"I am good. Busy with my assignment."

"Leo she is a webtoon artist. She drew a few really good webtoons."

"Oh what is the name of the ... web too ?"

"Webtoon! I will show you later some of the works."

"I think i go back to my apartment."

She walk slowly with her blankets in her hands. She suddenly stop and her face still looking at the front. 

"I think ... security in this building is ... rather lacking."

She suddenly pick up her steps and they hear her slippers sound as she speed up to her apartment. Raphael stretch his head and look at at Leo. 

"Did you do something?"
