Davis walked to her and looked at her fretful self. He wanted to just leave when he saw the kiss but his companion to the party reminded him of their reason to attend the party in the first place. Loving the beauty in his presence was a one-sided love from the beginning but he had decided to wait. She had tried to love him but it felt like she-
Her words broke his trance of thoughts.
"Davis, what are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here? What about you? What are you doing here with him in front of everyone in there? You are kissing each other so lovingly and then tomorrow, what will you do? You will come to me and pretend nothing happened and praise how much you love me. Why are you fooling me?" he was now out of control that all his pain just drove out like a rocket set off-never stops until in right space.
His outburst was foreign to her that she felt numb to reply anything. He shook her up for an answer.
"c'mon answer me, answer me now!"
"Stop!" Ginn pushed him away. "Stop it you will hurt her."
"it's none of you goddamn business. So quit it."
"Well, anything hurting her is my business and if you are the one then I don't care how much she cares and loves you." Ginn spoke while holding her ears. He new she had a trauma she never shared with anyone about being shouted at and accused.
Slowly, Mich slipped herself from Ginn's embrace and inhaled to recover her composure.
"Davis, I am sorry."
"Well babe, am sorry too to say that your sorry isn't enough. First you don't love me, right?" she tried to negate but he didn't let her. "You didn't even wonder who I came with since this party is not allowed entry to anyone without a date. You weren't jealous at all. Well, this proves a lot. You do not love me and I hope the best for you. Happy birthday. Good bye Babe."
He walked away as soon as he was done. Deep within him his heart was torn but he knew it was the right thing to do. Earlier he was totally out of it but when he saw her fretful time when he shouted at her, his heart regained its cool and decided to just leave her and let her free. She deserved a try of real love not this one-sided of nothingness. 'I will always love you, Babe. Happy birthday. Please be happy.'
Ginn back-hugged her comforting her. Truthfully, she felt hurt to be chucked but she was not broken. He led her out of the venue hall to another part.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Just follow me, okay?"
"Fine"
He opened purple curtains revealing a black and purple but mostly black bike. It was a brand-new type just released.
"Happy birthday Wifey!" they chuckled at his address. He ushered her in as he held her waist protectively. She felt herself shudder at his touch and just hoped he did not notice but wasn't she lying to herself.
"I bought this for you."
"It's the new release oh my God."
He sat on it making her perplexed. He eye-told her to hop on and follow him. She sat on and gave distance so as not to touch him but she was joking he was going to have his way for now. Jump-starting it a bit, she was brought closer to him and her slender soft hands holding his waist tight with a yelp following all that.
He smiled to himself victoriously and set the engine to life. The drive was relatively a long one because it seemed to have no definite destination but she loved it because it gave her time to think of her just-ended relationship and realized all that Davi said were right and she should not force it and just live the new feeling she was developing for her driver-Ginn.
After a long ride, Ginn parked at a sea shore and informed her of their arrival.
"Where have you brought me?" her innocent voice queried softly.
"To sell you of course." He answered gently making her eyes grow wide in shock earning him a series of laughter. "Did you actually think that's true? C'mon baby have a little faith in me."
He spoke while hugging her but she pushed him away.
"You are horrible. That's not funny." That only made him to laugh even more making her pout cutely.
"I just brought you to my favourite place." He spoke and pulled her onto his laps where he was seated on a table like rock.
"So how many women have you brought here?" that made him smile inwardly, was she being jealous.
"Well, let me count." Ginn began counting absently making her pissed. She smacked his chest and made attempt to stand but his quick enough to hold her.
"No one but you and no other. I do not know if you will ever believe me but trust me, I love you. Truly I love you." She felt tongue-tied.
Before they knew it, their faces where an inch away and locking eyes lustily. He brushed her soft lips with his making her part her lips for him. Slowly and steadily, they began kissing. He held her steadily onto his laps with one hand and the other held her back of the neck to deepen the kiss. He felt herself drowning in him but could not stop herself instead she wanted more of him. One can say she was literally lost in him.
