Michan's POV:
He was surprisingly in my room on my birthday just as I thought he had missed it. He was dressed in a two-pierce grey suit, my 'colour'. He missed my previous birthdays but this time I felt so much need of him to be with me. Was I forgiving him? I don't really know.
Looking in those coffee brown eyes that spoke more, that I did not understand, I was being drowned in them. He opened the door to his blue convertible and ushered me in gently. As soon as we were settled, he sped off to the venue. The venue was so lavishly decorated and emanated an aura of elegancy and royalty.
He opened for me the car door and led me in after showing our card to the receiving guards. I felt tremendously queenly as he held me and introduced me to his business associates. The best part was addressing me as his wife; how it felt good as eating ice cream on a summer day.
Soon he was separated from me by fellow business partners who went on introducing him to other groups. I smiled at his departing foam as he tried to explain to them so as to let him go but to no avail. My heart was truly warmed. I walked to a waiter nearby and took a glass of champagne. I was not a drinker but I could handle a glass of champagne.
He soon found a way to return to my side.
"Hey bro!" A familiar voice rang to us making Ginn frown a bit. It was Claus one of Ginn's friends. The one who had told me about an offer of divorce on the very wedding day. He looked at me scrutinizing my appearance in a way that I became uncomfortable.
"Are you okay?" Ginn asked with concern as he saw me fidgeting awkwardly due to the latter's stare. He looked at Claus with fierce look to my surprise. Was he being jealous? Am I crazy? Why would he be for me?
"Hey Hottie! Is my brother treating you well or my offer should begin immediately? I am far better than him, right?" he spoke as he smirked at me. I felt angry at his words that I felt like leaving at once.
"Claus, are you begging for death?"
Just as it was heating up around us, Ginn's name was called on stage for a speech. He had worked hard on this project so he automatically had to give a speech. I made sure to stand by Jason so as to avoid Claus who was not tired of making is irritating advancements.
Ginn's mention of my name brought me back from my trance. "Mich, my Mrs. Thompson, would you please join me here?" not knowing why, I just moved my feet and stepped on stage. I held Ginn's palm that he had gestured for me. Immediately, my best love song played followed by the slow version of 'End of Time' by Alan Walker. The moment was really sweet.
"Everyone, I would like us to wish my lovely wife a happy birthday. Join me as I sing her a happy birthday." He spoke all without his gorgeous brown coffee eyes breaking free from mine. The hall fell in song vibes and love is all I felt. Once it was done, I was given a micro-phone to say something but no words I could make out. Finally, I said something.
"Thank you Love." With that the hall began in unison. "Kiss him, kiss him!" my cheeks were flashed a hint of pink due to blood running to my cheeks. Ginn tried to stop them but they didn't. the next moment I could not stop myself. To my surprise, I turned him to face me and I kissed him.
THIRD PERSON:
Ginn looked at her shocked as they kissed but he responded lightly and ended it fast. They later stepped down from the stage and returned to their places.
"That was rich for a couple that is divorcing in six months." Claus began absently as he stared at them. "C'mon bro, she is not your true one so why hold onto her. Let her go."
"That's up to me to decide not you."
"C'mon bro, I had about the divorce issues from my dad's friend so cool it and let me show her another alternative."
"Before I punch you, get out of my sight."
This was going overboard that the two friends were attracting attention and were breaking apart on her account with no solid reason. She tagged at Ginn and gave him a knowing look then walked away from them.
Ginn looked at her departing foam and walked to her at the stairs. Just as they were beginning to talk, another familiar voice spoke.
"The kiss was lovely, wasn't it?"
"D-Davis?" She stammered nervously.
