Navy Headquarters Intelligence Room
The officers in the intelligence room had just hung up the call with Onigumo and were now looking at each other in confusion.
"Sig possesses incredible swordsmanship and Conqueror's Haki, and he might even have intimidated a super-giant Sea King that inhabits the Calm Belt?"
"Can Sea Kings really be communicated with? Or is this some kind of Devil Fruit ability?"
After this naval battle, the information about Sig had become even more perplexing.
On the vast seas, there are many types of Devil Fruits. When the Navy encounters someone with strange and unusual abilities, they usually assume the person is a Devil Fruit user.
But until now, they hadn't been able to guess what kind of Devil Fruit Sig might have.
In addition, there was another person in this naval battle who had caught their attention.
"Buggy the Clown? A pirate from the East Blue with a bounty just over 10 million berries?"
"It's said that Sig made contact with Buggy... and they planned to cross the Calm Belt together?"
"Perhaps Buggy isn't as simple as we thought. He's worth investigating further."
"Also, both Buggy and Sig have escaped, and we still don't know where they've gone..."
"Could they really have entered the Calm Belt?"
This thought made the officers in the intelligence room hesitate.
They knew how terrifying the Calm Belt was and had originally believed it was impossible for anyone to cross it.
But Hawk-Eye Mihawk, who had suddenly appeared on the battlefield, had taught them a lesson.

Loguetown, the Town of Beginnings and Endings
As everyone knows, this town has seen two individuals who changed the world.
Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, whose words sparked the Great Pirate Era.
Sig, the Mountain Bandit King, who retreated behind the curtain of the era, becoming its protector.
One in the light, the other in the shadows—both changed the era.
To commemorate them, the town was renamed "Rogue (Roger-Sig) Town."
And today, Sig, the great man who changed the era, returned to the town where he was born.
Loguetown Harbor
Sig's pirate ship quietly docked in a corner of the harbor.
Their ship didn't fly a pirate flag, nor did it have any distinctive decorations. It looked no different from any other ship and didn't attract attention.
Stepping onto land, Sig looked up at the town sign that read "Loguetown" and felt a slight stir in his heart.
This place was far more bustling than he had imagined.
Just the harbor alone had dozens, if not hundreds, of ships docked.
Sig could even see pirate ships brazenly flying black skull flags in some of the more secluded corners.
In comparison, Sig's crew was just a bit larger in number, far less flamboyant than the other pirates...
Sig turned to look at the large group of subordinates behind him.
The Sig Mountain Bandits now numbered over two hundred people. Moving together would be quite conspicuous.
But since they were in this famous town and about to leave the East Blue, it was impossible to have the entire crew stay on the ship like they had in Syrup Village.
After some discussion, they decided to split into groups.
The clever bald man would lead a team to purchase supplies, making final preparations for entering the Grand Line.
The large group of mountain bandits split up and gradually dispersed throughout the harbor.
This wasn't too noticeable. As the gateway to the Grand Line and the hometown of Roger, this town saw many pirates.
Sig's group of over two hundred people splitting up wasn't particularly out of place.
After a while, only a few subordinates, including Stussy and Kuro, remained behind Sig.
Compared to other pirates, Sig was being quite low-key, not drawing much attention in Loguetown.
Kuro and Stussy were arguably the two people Sig was most wary of on the entire ship.
Both were master actors, and in a special place like Loguetown, Sig felt that keeping them close was the only way to avoid trouble.
"Stussy..." Sig leaned in close to Stussy's ear and spoke softly.
He noticed Stussy's earlobes quickly turning red, and a faint blush seemed to appear on her delicate face, as if she were shy.
Such good acting—what a dangerous woman!
Sig's wariness grew even stronger.
The elite fighters in the Navy and CP not only mastered the Six Powers but also possessed the skill of "Life Return."
Life Return allowed one to infuse their consciousness into various parts of their body, enabling control over their body, hair, internal organs, and more.
For example, Vice Admiral Onigumo wasn't a Devil Fruit user. He simply mastered Life Return, allowing him to use his hair to wield six swords.
Stussy was clearly a master of Life Return as well. The tall, two-meter-tall figure in the white mask from before was likely a disguise created by Stussy using Life Return.
And now, this shy demeanor was undoubtedly a combination of acting and Life Return!
Sig's heartbeat quickened slightly.
While on the ship, he had deliberately avoided interacting with Stussy, fearing that he might be exposed at any moment...
But at this critical moment, just before entering the Grand Line, there were some things Sig had no choice but to say.
Suppressing the unease in his heart, Sig said:
"Let me say it again—you're free."
"Stay in the East Blue, and we'll head to the Grand Line. Let's part ways here."
"The Reverse Mountain route is a one-way trip. As long as you stay in the East Blue, there's no way I can stop you."
Sig spoke solemnly.
For a moment, Stussy wavered.
The Grand Line was essentially a one-way journey. To return to the East Blue, one would either have to sail all the way around the Grand Line or take the legal trade route through the Red Line.
Both methods were time-consuming.
Even if Sig wanted to trick her like last time, he wouldn't be able to return to the East Blue anytime soon.
This was indeed a great opportunity to break free from Sig.
But then Stussy suddenly recalled CP0's orders and the scene of Sig slicing through the Sea King. It dawned on her.
Others might not be able to return to the East Blue, but Sig could cross the Calm Belt!
"I almost fell for this man's trick again..."
Stussy shuddered but smiled at Sig:
"Mr. Sig, are you testing my resolve again? I've already decided to turn over a new leaf..."
Seeing this, Sig could only sigh inwardly.
"Fine, think it over. You don't have to decide right now."
After speaking, Sig felt a bit more weighed down and began walking forward.
Keeping a ticking time bomb like Stussy by his side wasn't a sustainable solution...
As he pondered this, Sig didn't notice an old man with a cane walking toward him.
As they passed each other, the old man seemed to slip and fell to the ground.
"You knocked me over! I need a pretty lady to help me up!"
