The unraveling

The conference room was filled with the buzz of reporters, cameras flashing as the executives took their seats. Allesandro Wales, calm and composed, stood at the podium, his piercing eyes scanning the room full of journalists. He didn't look like a man whose business empire had just collapsed, but rather someone who was prepared to face the storm head-on.

A reporter from a well-known outlet raised their hand, and the microphone was passed to them.

"Mr. Wales," she began, her voice steady but eager, "the news of your broken alliance with Miss Cartwright has shocked the business world. What will happen to her now? Will the wedding continue?"

Allesandro's lips curled into a small, knowing smile. He leaned forward, meeting the eyes of every reporter in the room. "Miss Natalia Cartwright and I never had a personal relationship," he stated, his voice firm and unapologetic.
