The visitors

I asked my Beta to keep an eye on Olivia.

If he told me her every move I should be able to control them even without her knowing.

After her uncouth interactions with the pack, this was the next best thing.

To ensure she didn't start up something like she always did. At least.

"Alpha, I think we have a problem." My Beta barged in one morning saying. 

"Did she do something again?" I muttered asking him. She always seemed to do something stupid. I just hope it didn't go too far this time.

"I'm afraid yes because the luna consulted another healer who told her that the woman you're seeking for is the rightful luna to Moonstone pack and not her."

"Keep an eye on her. Looking at things she might choose to track Nova down." I ordered.

"Exactly. Because she got mad at the healer and sent her away."

Silence overrode the moment as I thought of what to do. If she was like this there was no prediction on how far she could go.

"She must not find Nova." I said with protective instincts.

"Your wish is my command, alpha." he said with a slight bow.

"Thanks." I uttered watching as he walked out the door.

I went in to prepare for work. Olivia's room was different from mine since years back ever since I discovered she wasn't who she pretended to be.

"Hello?" I said to Nova over the phone.

"Do you realize it's so early?" she answered, in a sleepy tone. 

"I need you to be early today. Come by 7am, sharp."

"Alright, fine." she said hanging up.

The minute I got dressed I headed outside getting into my SUV. My chauffeur was already inside. "Good morning, Alpha. I hope you had a good night rest?"

"I did thanks. You can go now, we have to make it early today." I replied. 

The drive was quick as it was early in the morning, thus, less vehicles were on the road. I got to Moonstone enterprise around 7am. 

Nova turned up early too, surprisingly which made me sort of impressed.

She stood at the entrance waiting for me.

"Why does it have to be so early, Jared?" she said as soon as she saw me.

"Who knows, maybe you should have waited and not hanged up when I wanted to give you more details on the people we're expecting."

"I had no idea, besides who exactly are we expecting?" she said furrowing her brows. "Are you perhaps running a secret business no one knows of?"

"Maybe I am." I said to taunt her a bit. "You should pay attention better, and be more attentive. You might find out things you wish to and finally bring me down like you desire." I replied her as we entered the elevator and she rolled her eyes.

The minute she did I approached her putting my hand on the elevator just beside her head.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" I asked, with a curious expression.

"Oh I did what are you going to do about it?"

I straightened my suit not giving her a reply until we got at my office's front door. I pointed directly at her office which I made sure was opposite mine. 

Good thing was my window was in a view that could see anything going on in her office. On seeing it now, I became elated at how interesting this was going to be. 

"That is your office. You can go get familiar. However, by 8, some Omegas would show up with some gifts. Can you organize them as they pack it?" 

"Sure," she replied. I liked the fact that she was quick to walk away. The door slammed shut even before I got a perfect view of her.

I grinned walking to my office and working on some documentation and signing. Not so long after, it was 12. I ordered some lunch for myself sending some to Nova.

"Enjoy your meal, Nova." I wrote in a note to her only for her to come out with the lunch I sent.

She came inside my office saying, "I have my own lunchbox, thank you very much." 

She jiggled her lunchbox right in my face dropping the one I got for her.

She walked right out without looking back as usual. The next thing was her door slamming shut. 

My telephone rang and I took it instantly. It was the security team. "Hello sir, the visitors from Moonstone children academy are here. Can they come in?"

"Of course," I said smiling. I set this knowingly because it's been years, yet I had no idea of what fatherhood was like. With this thought I stepped out of my office that minute. At this point, I knocked at Nova's door, and she came out immediately. 

I smelled her sweet scent which calmed my wolf making me straighten my suit and ask her, 

"Are the gifts ready?" 

"Yes, they are. The omegas helped me with them." 

"Good, the visitors are around." I replied her saying, "Let's head out now."

"Okay." she replied. She followed me with the Omegas who carried the souvenirs behind us. 

The sooner we got downstairs I heard the tour mistress coordinating the visitors as they made their way towards us. 

I watched as children from Moonstone academy stood across us all assembled in their colorful uniforms.

"The alpha is coming, behave yourselves." their class teacher told them. I straightened my suit walking to them.
