Death

The metallic smell of blood hung heavily in the air, a haunting reminder of the cruel brutality that had crawled through the darkness of the night, mangled bodies painted the sight at every corner, like a grotesque painting gnawing and cruel. Zosia shut her eyes, her breathe labored, her exhausted body protested to rest, however she knew she couldn't, the mangled bodies had collapsed under her blade, their lives taken with perfect precision. The tension hung heavy, silence which didn't bring an ounce of warmth but the bitter feeling of the unknown

"Sister" Oona's voice sounded, shrouded by the darkness, slowly she made her appearance. Dressed in fiery red, she looked enchanting and seductive, with lips coated in red and makeup perfectly done to stir hearts, with a height taller than the average woman. Zosia could only grit her teeth enduring the searing pain as she stared at her older sister, her own flesh and blood yet Oona had never treated her like a sister, but a weapon she could use at her every will

Her fists clenched tightly and unclenchd her veins bulging under her skin, staring at the rows of elite soldiers behind Oona, her lips curled into a mocking smile "you're still as pathetic, a pity" Oona's lips curled into a cruel smile as she stared down at Zosia, who couldn't help but take several steps back. Her pale face was illuminated under the moonlight smeared heavily with blood "you saved the very people, who colluded against me" Oona's words were cold and grating, each word carrying an oppressive power that seemed to suck the very air Zosia breathed

"This is madness" Zosia growled, her striking red eyes stared at Oona's sea blue eyes with a hint of defiance "you've gotten even more unruly, you've forgotten your place!" Oona's eyes chilled with a wave of her hand a ball of light condensed, however on contact with Zosia she was thrown off balance, slamming hard against a tree she spat a mouthful of blood

"A pity" Oona smiled coldy, her eyes locked on Zosia form unwavering, condensing another ball of lightning which struck Zosia harder than the last, the force of the lightening made her scream in agony as pain tore through her whole being as blood flowed freely out of her mouth. The pain was unbearable, her body convulsed violently in a bid to curb the pain, sweat trickled down her brows and staring at Oona all she saw was that grating smile she had always known, the mockery in those sea blue eyes evident. A gnawing reminder of how she saw Zosia, an ant, insignificant and worthless

"You've can't kill me" Zosia gritted her teeth, summoning a flicker of light, which slammed directly on Oona's chest? The impact so powerful the earth shook and the trees trembled, at impact Oona could feel her bones had shattered, blood dripped freely out of her mouth. A testament of her body's condition, she couldn't help coughing out more blood

Her face now twisted was an ugly sight to look at too jarring for the eyes "you think I want to kill you…?" Oona chuckled, her voice ever so cold and devoid of warmth, a cruel smile rested on her lips with a hint of sinister madness, something dangerous lurked behind those blue eyes. Zosia took a step back, her legs trembled underneath her but she forced herself to stand strong, she gritted her teeth as her hands unsheathed her blade, her eyes locked on Oona before scanning the over a thousand death soldiers. A menacing aura enveloped her being like a predator after its prey

"You've been busy all night can you still fight?" Oona mocked clutching her hurting chest she knew she couldn't stay longer "if you don't die under their blades, till we meet again sister" Oona's added, the weight of her words pressed down on Zosia's heart.

Watching her sister disappear into the mist, her eyes narrowed to the over a thousand death soldiers. They launched their attacks first, their advanced weapons fired with precision, however Zosia was faster. Even with her body nearing its limit. She weaved through the crowd effortlessly, each strike leading to a fatal death. Her blade sliced through the rows of men like paper dolls in a storm. Each death a message written in blood and like a demon, her movements too fast for their trembling fingers to crack

She Zosia could not die no matter what!

And her sister's promise she was going to fulfil to the last

"She's crazy" the soldier's screamed, their earlier bravery crumbling before their eyes as they turned fleeing for their lives, however like an illusion more men kept pouring in through a vortex their weapons more advanced than the last, what seemed to be a thousand men was getting larger

The metallic feel of death hung heavily in the air, her body screamed for rest, protesting for a respite, the more she killed the more soldiers were deployed and with her draining strength

There was no winning this battle, the situation was too dire, with no other choice she forced the fight to the end of the cliff, her blades moving with precision

Leaving a trail of blood and death till she jumped leaving the soldiers with widened eye

"Shoot! Scout 2 and 5, search the river there must be a body else forget about living!" The leader of the soldiers yelled loudly, his voice trembled with urgency

Oona's rage wasn't something to be underestimated, that woman was crazy and that thought scared him. The soldiers at his words moved to search the river but it was moving too fast making the search

impossible

Oona on the other hand was plugged to several machines, several vials liquids pursed into her veins, an oxygen mask rested on her face aiding her breathing as her breathe was too weak and labored making her lungs hurt a lot, her head throbbed in pain, her whole body trembled recalling the one hit Zosia had ever inflicted on her yet here she was fighting for her life

The gnawing truth of how strong Zosia was haunted her pride, she clenched her fist tightly a hint of worry flashed in her eyes however she blinked them away steeling her already throbbing heart

"You'll need a lot of rest and treatment but you have to cooperate with me this time Oona, cause whoever did this to you could have done more! He or she deliberately reduced their strength, you have to be careful" her personal

Doctor and best friend Xenir warned as she checked Oona's vitals and data

"She's stronger than me Xenir, way stronger than me" Oona gritted her teeth as her fist unconsciously clenched under the sheets
