Riezekiel coughed lightly, his throat itched as he tried to pull himself however his whole body felt numb
It felt almost impossible to move
With each slight movement all he felt was excruciating pain all over his body
"Chief....?!" Cedric's called out anxiously, unsure who exactly had gotten conscious
Riezekiel tried to tilt his head but his strength was failing
"How's the situation?" Riezekiel's asked through his gritted teeth as he tried to force himself up
But the pressure from above him was suffocating
Alas he moved tearing himself from the cocoon he was tightly wrapped in "immobile" Cedric replied and Riezekiel's fists clenched tightly
Damn his body ached
But where was he?
He tried to feel around him but what seemed above him was solid earth
Where they buried alive?
" Azreal? Rico? Tyler!!!!!" Riezekiel callled out, his muffled voice held a hint of desperation and urgency "chief..., I didn't hear any other person " Cedric called again, his anxiety building as he tried to free himself from the cocoon which was so hard
And his body was too weak
He wondered how Riezekiel was able to break himself free cause he could hear the faint movements
Riezekiel's gritted his teeth as he pulled his weak body through the darkness, crawling on his fours as he tried to find Cedric's voice from the cocoons
Alas he found Cedric's cocoon
Fishing out a sharp blade from his pocket space he tore the cocoon apart before pulling Cedric's weak body out
"Chief!!!!" Cedric hugged Riezekiel feeling relieved having seen his friend again
"We'll have to open up the other cocoon's" Riezekiel spoke quickly, his whole body drenched in swear from forcing his body so much
"okay" Cedric fished out his own weapon and they begun to open up all the cocoons, tearing each cocoon apart revealing unconscious soldiers
Several hours passed by and Riezekiel leaned on the earthy wall gasping heavily
He was weak and tired
"What do we do now that everyone's unconscious?" Cedric asked as he stared into the darkness at where Riezekiel's breathing came faintly
"We wait" Riezekiel replied as she fished out his optical brain, with shaky hands he tried to connect to the base yet there was no signal
He couldn't even reply his wife or see any new message
He gritted his teeth
He had to live!!!
But why was he getting weaker and weaker
His consciousness felt like it was slipping away
"We seem to have been buried Cedric" Riezekiel's words made Cedric's face turn several shades paler
His mind raced with different thoughts
What were this zergs up to
"We'll have to dig our way out , something seems to be sucking on our life force" he added as he felt the earth wall and begun to dig
"Simon could have used his super strength to shatter the wall" Cedric sighed as he joined the digging
"The others haven't woken up yet..." he paused lightly glancing into the darkness where each soldier laid
They didn't seem dead or in pain
If felt more like they were sleepy soundly
"If this continues, we'll all die sooner or later, we need to get out of here" Riezekiel's words snapped Cedric out of his thoughts as they continued to dig
Even with their consciousness slipping slowly
They continued to dig, bits by bits with any they could find in their inventory
A full day passed by and both men were nearly out of breathe, barely clinging to life
"Here…."Riezekiel's fished out the meal Zosia packed from his space pocket and they both indulged in it
"We can't die here Chief" Cedric muttered as he chewed on the food
"Then you must not faint" Riezekiel sighed heavily
The weight of the moment was too much for him
What if...
Her milky white skin, her delicate curves and her beautiful face came to his mind
Those beautiful red eyes
"Husband...." He heard her voice and blinked as he turned around but she wasn't anywhere around him
"Wife….."his voice was choked and for the first time since he opened his eyes
His tears fell!
"Chief what's wrong?" Cedric asked anxiously, though he couldn't see Riezekiel's form, he could deduce the subtle change in his movements and voice
"Husband you're alive..."Zosia's cold voice sounded edged with a hint of warmth and something else
Maybe relief
"I'm alive though trapped" Riezekiel muttered under his breathe, he wondered if he was imagining things
But if he was he didn't want to wake up from this dream and he didn't want Cedric to know either
Her voice was soothing
Calming his anxious heart significantly
"You must live Husband, you must come back to me! For now take the vials I gave you, there are others I arranged in your spacial pockets!" With that said Zosia's voice drifted away
Riezekiel's breathe hitched as he rummaged through his spacial pocket
There were several vials
When had she had time to put things in his pocket?
He quickly accessed the liquid vials
Fishing out two vials dog the same properties he gave one to Cedric and one to himself
"What's this?" Cedric asked as he drank the vial which suprisingly tasted sweet. It was obvious he trusted Riezekiel with his life
"Restoration vial's" Riezekiel replied finding Zosia's choice of words rather funny
After a few minutes their fatigue and dizziness washed away replaced by a sense of calm and agility
"It's that effective..."Cedric chuckled as he flexed his muscles to ease tension from the cramped space, they could barely move freely and could only crawl on their fours
"Let's take this wall down" Riezekiel's cold voice sounded and they both went back to digging after finishing their meal
They couldn't tell how many days had passed since they started digging but the days darkness stretched longer and was suffocating
Luckily their mental fortitude was good else they could risk chances of going insane
The others still laid in their sleep like state
But Riezekiel knew better, if they continued to stay this way they would likely die
As their life essence would be depleted
Luckily with the restoration vials
He could feed each person a single drop per day
Mentally calculating the time as it ran by
"Chief..." Cedric called out as he munched on his dry rations which his Calista had prepared for his trip
Damn he missed her so much
He missed his children too
"We'll get out alive! We won't leave anyone behind" Riezekiel's words were resolute
He had made up his mind
And he surely wasn't changing his mind
The safety of his soldiers was his responsibility and he had to see through it all
