Chapter 76: Hidden Truths

The tension in the villa was still palpable after Bianca and Giulia's departure. Yet, Alessandro didn't utter a word about them. He remained silent, his gaze fixed on the horizon through the living room window, a glass in hand.

I could have respected that silence, but the curiosity burning within me was too strong to ignore any longer.

I rose softly from the couch and approached him.

"You're really not going to tell me anything?" I whispered.

He clenched his jaw, took a sip of his whiskey, and finally turned his gaze to me.

"What do you want to know, *amore mio*?" he asked, his voice rougher than usual.

I studied him for a moment, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Why did Bianca and Giulia come here? Why won't you even talk to her?"

Alessandro sighed. He set his glass down on the coffee table and gently took my hand, pulling me toward him with unexpected tenderness.

"*Vieni qui, mia anima.*"
