A cold shiver ran down my spine.
Giulia.
My gaze immediately shifted to Alessandro. His expression didn't change, but I noticed the subtle tightening of his jaw. His fingers curled slightly, as if he were holding himself back from exploding on the spot.
I glanced at Teresa, who seemed to regret being the one to deliver this news. She quickly lowered her eyes, avoiding both my gaze and Alessandro's.
The silence around us grew thicker, so heavy it felt almost tangible.
"She's with Bianca," Teresa whispered. "They… they want to talk to you."
Alessandro stared at her for a moment, then slowly turned his eyes toward the door.
"No," he said sharply.
I blinked.
"Alessandro…"
"No," he repeated firmly.
His gaze slid toward me, and I saw something strange flicker in his eyes. A glimmer between wariness and outright refusal.
"You're not going to talk to her?" I asked, uncertain.
