EMILY'S POV
Excited chatter filled the air as the volunteers giggled as we stood in front of the building with our luggages, waiting for the bus. The smile on their faces showed that they were eager to embark on the trip. I glanced at my wrist watch,it was the fourth time I checked but the bus was still yet to arrive.
After some minutes, the bus arrived and we began to pack our luggages into the luggage space. I stepped into the bus and the murmur of side conversation followed me in. I caught a snippet of a hushed tone - “wife to the chairman…” Why was she?…” I turned deaf ears to their whispers and made my way into the bus. My eyes scanned the seats as I was looking for a comfortable seat. I soon decided to sit at the back .
I quickly went to the back seat to secure my seat before anyone else but as I got there, an unusual thing made me stop in my tracks.
