Marriage Bargain

I sat in my office working on some files when a message entered my phone. It was Emily updating me on the transport of the volunteers for the field trip. 


My eyes darted to my phone,my eyes glued to the screen expecting Emily's response to pop up. I had passed a message about how I felt “I will miss you…in fact come down from the bus,I can't handle you not being here,” I had written. 


“While is she taking time to respond?” I said, anxiously as I kept staring at my phone. What if she find my message too clingy or possessive?
