3Rd POV

"I can tell you that you have a talent, Shelly!" George said to Sheldon, who was standing next to him. "Huft, it's really good to beat them!"

"My data wasn't wrong, but I didn't account for the players' conditions, especially that they were too fit to play," Sheldon grumbled, his face showing annoyance at his miscalculation.

George smiled awkwardly, as his enthusiasm was met with Sheldon's frustration. "Hey, it's okay if you make a mistake. You came and saved us all. That's the most important thing to me and the team!" George said, patting Sheldon on the shoulder.

"....." Sheldon looked at George and then at his hand. "...Did you sanitize your hand? I've been touched and hugged 30 times today!" He slapped George's hand away and entered the house.

"We're home!" Sheldon called out and immediately headed to the bathroom. Mary, walking into the living room, saw Sheldon passing her. "What happened to him?" she asked George.

"Sheldon saved the day!" George said, trying to restore his earlier excitement that had been dampened by Sheldon.

"...Can you explain that?" Mary asked, looking confused at George's words.

George began to explain what had happened on the field earlier—how they had followed Sheldon's data and tactics but had a slight miscalculation, leading to Sheldon stepping up to the sidelines and giving orders to the players.

"Oh my..." Mary looked toward the bathroom door. "That's why he went straight to the bathroom to cleanse himself from all those touches..." she commented.

"....." George looked at her incredulously. "That's not the point!" he said, shaking his head at Mary.

"I get what you're saying. I'm also surprised that you used Sheldon's data and statis... whatever it is. But I know... you trust Georgie more, right?" Mary asked, looking at her husband.

"...What am I supposed to do? Believe in a 10-year-old kid? It's better to trust Georgie, who believes in Sheldon." George said as he left Mary, who sighed. They both knew that Sheldon was a... special child.

They also knew that they both loved Sheldon. There was no debate about that. They loved their small family. But it was different with Georgie.

Georgie had opened Mary and George eyes—to believe in their kids more—but that didn't mean Mary and George would just let them go. They still needed guidance from George and Mary to keep them away from danger and on the right path.

"...Where is Georgie?" Mary asked again, looking at her husband.

"...He's play-dating with that Veronica girl." George's voice came from the TV room, where the sound of the television was playing.

As Mary was about to say something else, the phone rang. She walked to it and picked it up. "Hello?"

"Oh... alright... okay... Do you need your father to pick you up later?" Mary said, glancing at George, who was still watching TV.

"...Alright... I know she's your teacher, but you shouldn't trouble her... No!... You have to come home... Alright... 11 PM, your father will pick you up... Alright... He'll bring the truck... Okay..." Mary said and hung up the phone. George was already beside her when he heard the word 'teacher' in Mary's conversation.

"Was that Georgie? What's he doing?" George asked, looking at Mary.

"He's at Ms. Fenley's house. He said they're choosing equipment and instrument for them to send to the studio..." Mary said, but her tone was a little confused. "...Something's wrong."

"What?" George, not thinking there was any issue, asked Mary.

"...I don't know, but I just know something's wrong," Mary said again. "Should I go there right now?"

"What?" George looked at Mary. "...You think Georgie and Ms. Fenley... you know..." he added, giving Mary an odd look.

"Yes" Mary said this time with confidence that something had happened between Georgie and Miss Fenley.

"....." George stared back at her. "...That's unbelievable... I can't believe you're thinking that..."

"Hey, Georgie is my son... I don't want him to be preyed upon by an older woman!"

"Relax! I know Ms. Fenley. She's a good person and... you know... there's a rumor... she likes women..." George said, this time whispering to Mary.

Mary widened her eyes, intrigued by this gossip. "...Really?" she whispered back to George, who nodded.

"Alright..." Mary said, reflecting on her previous encounters with Ms. Fenley and Ms. Rosie.

Meanwhile, as they gossiped, Georgie and Fenley were doing something not completely different from Mary and George's conversation.
