3rd POV

Kringgg!

"Hmmm..." George groaned as his alarm blared earlier than usual. He had set it to wake up ahead of his usual schedule.

As he stirred awake, Mary grumbled beside him, irritated by the noise. "Turn it off…" she muttered, still half-asleep.

George sighed, shutting off the alarm before dragging himself out of bed. His body still felt heavy with exhaustion, and his eyes were barely open as he shuffled out of the bedroom in his robe, swaying slightly with each step.

His plan was to check on the kids, but before he could even reach their rooms, a voice interrupted him.

"Good morning, Dad." Sheldon greeted, already awake and alert.

George squinted at him in confusion. "Oh, you're already up."

Without much thought, he changed course and knocked on Georgie's door. "Georgie's in the bathroom." Sheldon informed him.

Still groggy, George simply nodded. "Alright.." he said in his raspy morning voice.

"Dad, I have a question. Do you remember Doctor Hodges, the one who visited our school?" Sheldon asked, stopping George in his tracks.

George thought for a moment, his sleep-fogged brain working slowly. "Yeah," he answered shortly, attempting to walk away, but Sheldon wasn't done.

"I wanted to ask about the relationship between Doctor Hodges and Mr. Givens—"

"We'll talk later, alright? We have plenty of time." George interrupted, not in the mood for one of Sheldon's in-depth discussions so early in the morning. He walked back into his room, leaving Sheldon standing there.

"Alright then." Sheldon muttered, returning to Georgie's earlier question in his head.

As soon as George's door closed, Georgie emerged from the bathroom, wearing only a towel. He glanced toward his parents' bedroom before sneaking toward his own room.

"Why are you sneaking around?" Sheldon asked, raising an eyebrow at his older brother's suspicious movements.

Georgie froze and turned to Sheldon. "I don't want to wake anyone up." he whispered before quickly slipping into his room without waiting for Sheldon's response.

Sheldon watched him with mild curiosity but decided there were more important things to think about. So, he went back to his own thoughts.

Georgie's POV

I shut my bedroom door and headed straight to my closet. Like I said before, I didn't want any chaos this morning.

"Hmmm... Morning." I heard Veronica's sleepy voice from my bed. She still looked drowsy, barely awake.

I walked over and kissed her forehead. "Morning, sugar." I greeted her with a smile.

"Sorry for waking you up, but I need to pack quickly." I explained, turning back to get dressed.

Well, I mean, Veronica had already seen everything last night—so who cares?

I dropped my towel and started getting dressed, noticing Veronica's amused smile. "We look like newlyweds," she murmured, making me chuckle.

"A good wife would put in a little more effort to please her husband in the morning, you know?" I teased, wiggling my eyebrows.

Veronica scoffed. "No! My jaw is sore, and my hands are tired from pleasing you!" she shot back, throwing a pillow at me.

I barely held back my laughter.

"What are you all planning to do today?" I asked, remembering that they had their 'Girls Time' planned while we were in Florida.

Veronica sat up and bit her lip playfully. "Well, your mom is taking us out for a good time together…" she said, reaching for my waistband.

"Oh, come on! I just got dressed!" I protested, looking at her with exasperation. Well, if she want to do it, why not before I dressed up right?!. Gezz Women. All she did was teasing us!.

Veronica huffed. "You were the one teasing me!" she argued, folding her arms and pouting.

I sighed, tilting her chin up so she'd look at me. "I have to pack. We don't want my parents finding out about this, do we?" I reminded her before stealing another kiss.

"Fine," Veronica relented, but she kissed me again before pulling away.

"You're so needy," I teased, smirking as I leaned in to kiss her again. Veronica ran her hands over my torso, refusing to break the kiss.

Then, we suddenly heard a door open and close. Not our door, but the sound of door opening.

We both froze.

"Alright, let's stop," Veronica whispered, quickly fixing her clothes.

I shook my head, sighing as I continued packing for the Florida trip.

3rd POV

"So? Ready to go?" George asked as he looked at Sheldon and Mary, standing by the door. Then he glanced around. "Where's Georgie?"

Mary gave him a knowing smile and turned slightly, revealing Georgie, Veronica, and Missy clinging onto him. Missy had her eyes closed, pretending to be asleep in Georgie's arms.

George sighed, unimpressed. Georgie and Veronica gave him awkward smiles.

"Come on, Missy. Let go of Georgie and stop pretending to be asleep." George said, rubbing his forehead.

Missy clicked her tongue before opening her eyes. "Ugh, you caught me," she admitted before turning to Georgie with her best puppy-dog eyes. "Can I come with you?" Then, her eyes landed on the ukulele in Georgie's hand.

Georgie gently set her down and ruffled her hair. "Aren't you guys having a 'Girls Time'? Besides, do you really want to be stuck in a car with Sheldon for 12 to 15 hours?"

"Is it because Doctor Hodges said they were roommates? I knew that had to be the right answer!" Sheldon suddenly blurted out.

Missy turned to him, eyes widening before shaking her head. "No thanks!"

"…I don't want to either…" George muttered under his breath, but everyone still heard him.

Mary gave an awkward smile, while Georgie turned to Sheldon, amused by his response. "No, try to think about my words again and connect the dots."

Missy, now intrigued, piped up. "What are you guys talking about?"

Georgie didn't answer right away, instead looking at Sheldon. "Are you giving up? Because I can pass the question to Missy."

Sheldon scowled. "No! The agreement was until we get to Florida!" he huffed, tapping his foot impatiently.

Missy, sensing the challenge, became even more intrigued. "What? What is it? Tell me!" she demanded, tugging on Georgie's shirt.

George and Mary exchanged glances, slightly surprised by the exchange and didn't know what their talking about. George just forget what sheldon want to ask in the morning.

Meanwhile, Georgie was laughing at Sheldon's frustration—until Veronica playfully smacked his arm, telling him to stop.

"Alright, alright! A deal's a deal. You have until we reach Florida," Georgie said before turning to Missy. "I'll tell you later, alright?" Missy pouted hearing that but looking at Sheldon right now will only make him a pain in the ass for the long trip.

Georgie know that Missy want to make Sheldon angry and become pain in the ass, so he didn't tell her about it. Or they all will Suffer in this trip!.

Sheldon finally nodded and walked toward the car, settling into the front seat next to George without being told and still thinking about 'Life Question' Georgie made.

"Alright, you three have fun on the way, okay?" Mary said, looking at George.

Veronica smiled at Georgie. "Be safe, alright?" she said softly.

Missy, hearing that, scoffed. "You two look like a married couple," she teased, making Veronica blush while Mary shot her a look, silently telling her to stop saying weird things.

Georgie chuckled, kissing Missy's forehead, then giving Mary a quick peck on the cheek, which made her smile. He turned to Veronica, wanting to kiss her too, but Mary's sharp gaze made him stop, and Veronica didn't push the matter.

"Is that how he wears a suit?!" Sheldon's voice suddenly rang out from the car, his eyes locked on Georgie.

Georgie shook his head, walking toward the vehicle. "Of course not! It's not about the suit or how he dresses."

George glanced at them before leaning in to kiss Mary. "You're a good daddy," Mary said, making George scoff.

"Yeah, right. Say that again if I don't end up leaving one of them behind." he muttered.

Mary simply smiled, knowing full well that George wouldn't do such a thing.

And with that, the three Cooper boys set off on their journey.

3rd POV

Mary watched the car disappear down the road before heading back inside. Veronica and Missy followed her.

"So, what are we doing today?" Missy asked, looking up at Mary.

"First, we need to take a shower!" Veronica said before turning to Missy. "What do you want to do today?"

Missy thought for a moment before looking back at Veronica. "Can I get a tattoo?"

Veronica and Mary immediately shouted in unison, "No!"

"Geez, you could've just said no without yelling," Missy grumbled, covering her ears. Of course, she was just joking—she had already asked Georgie before, and he had firmly rejected the idea.

"At least I tried," Missy shrugged before dashing toward the bathroom. "I'm going first!"

Veronica and Mary exchanged amused glances before Mary sighed. "Georgie spoils her too much. At least Georgie knows how to say no to something absurd like that."

Veronica chuckled. "Georgie loves them very much, huh?"

Mary smiled, nodding. "Well, he is my boy, and the Good Lord gave him many gifts."

Veronica returned her smile warmly. "So, shall we make breakfast?" Mary suggested, giving Veronica a knowing look.

"Sure!" Veronica agreed, following Mary to the kitchen to prepare eggs and bacon.

They chatted as they cooked, and once Missy had finished getting ready, she joined them in their morning gossip. Soon after, Connie arrived at the Cooper house, joining them for coffee and breakfast.

Meanwhile, by the time Mary and the others had finished gossiping, George's car had already passed through Houston.

3rd POV – On the Road

"So, what do you think?" Sheldon asked from the front seat, looking toward Georgie, who was still smiling. "Your observation was good, but it's not about how he called himself a scientist when he's not really one."

George, listening to their conversation, finally decided to jump in. "What are you guys talking about?" he asked, briefly glancing at Sheldon.

Sheldon was still grumbling, deep in thought. Just as he was about to answer, Georgie cut him off. "Oops, no asking for help!"

Sheldon pouted, crossing his arms as he continued trying to piece together the answer.

George shook his head before focusing on the road. After a moment, he glanced at his eldest son. "Georgie, how's the band?" Then his expression turned more serious. "Are you guys ready for the concert?"

Georgie, tuning his ukulele, hummed. "Hmm, I think they're ready," he replied, glancing at George through the rearview mirror.

"What about you?" George pressed, occasionally glancing back at him. "Are you ready for it?"

Georgie stared at his father for a long moment before nodding. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it. But I am ready," he said with determination.

George nodded approvingly. "I know you'll do great."

"I know! Because Doctor Hodges said they were friends!" Sheldon suddenly exclaimed, turning toward Georgie in the backseat.

"Hey, hey! No sudden movements like that!" George scolded, placing a hand on Sheldon's shoulder until he settled down.

Sheldon sat back properly, though he was still eagerly waiting for Georgie's response.

Georgie grinned. "Why?" he asked, prompting Sheldon to explain.

"Because they are friends! Doctor Hodges and Mr. Givens have known each other for a long time. If they're used to jokingly insulting each other in private, that's one thing. But Doctor Hodges said it in front of an audience, which turned it from a joke into an insult." Sheldon explained matter-of-factly.

"Wow, are we already in Florida?." Georgie teased with a sarcastic tone.

Of course, Sheldon didn't pick up on the sarcasm—he simply smiled triumphantly. "No, we just leave Medford."

George chuckled. "Oh, you're talking about the difference between insults and jokes? Like me and Connie?"

Georgie scratched his head. "That's… actually a better example than Mr. Givens and Doctor Hodges." he admitted, though he shrugged it off since Sheldon had already figured it out.

"Shelly, what do you think about Doctor Oppenheimer?" Georgie asked casually, strumming his ukulele.

George's mouth twitched at the name. As a former soldier, he definitely knew who Oppenheimer was—the father of the atomic bomb.

"The father of the atomic bomb?" Sheldon repeated. "As a scientist, I respect his intellect and contributions to physics. However, he created the atomic bomb for destruction."

Georgie chuckled. "For someone who just said they wanted to blow up Cape Canaveral with a nuclear bomb, that's an interesting take."

"What?" George snapped his head toward Sheldon.

If Georgie had said something like that, George would've brushed it off—he knew Georgie wasn't capable of making a nuclear bomb. But Sheldon? Maybe. Or Maybe Not?.

He knew he was overthinking it, but… Sheldon could figure it out.

"It was just a joke," Sheldon said with a smile. "But I do know how to make one," he added softly.

Both George and Georgie heard it.
