"You don't seem to be keen about me meeting Dad," she frowned, "I haven't seen him since I was ten before Mom just packed us up and took me away to the other side of the world. The only thing I know about him was he paid maintenance every month and what I read on Wikipedia.
"Don't you want me to get to know him too? It would be nice for him to see I've grown into a responsible woman," she weakly smiled but I could tell she herself wasn't too sure about what she had just said.
"It's not that I don't want you to meet Dad, he's just a bit intense," I ran my fingers through my hair and lightly gripped it feeling a tiny creeping wave of stress come over me. Dad barely wanted me and I tried my best to be his golden child. It wasn't easy.
