Useless Lecture

Rushing from behind him, despite her shortness, Shinju stood in front of Hitoshi like a bodyguard-dog. She even extended her arms outwards as if to create a wall that Yasuo wasn't allowed to cross.

As embarrassing as it would be for Yasuo to admit, he was thinking to himself at that moment that she didn't need to do all of that. After all, she was already big enough. Only — he wasn't referring to her height.

'If I actually had intentions of bullying Hitoshi right now, does she really think that this weak shield would be able to stop me?' he wondered, finding it amusing.

Hitoshi, still on the floor, was confused and scared for his girlfriend.

He had already been bullied in front of her many times before and had warned her not to intervene because he didn't want her to get hurt.

And even without his warning, she was far too timid to actually protect him in the first place.

Where did she get this sudden courage from?

The answer was that after the trip yesterday and the conversation she had with Yasuo, getting to know him a little more and feeling a little more familiar with him, she wasn't as scared of him as she once was, and seeing her boyfriend being extorted for money by someone who was a million times richer than her, that little bit of courage she had amplified at the moment, and her body moved on its own.

But now that she was here, arms spread open, that courage was beginning to disappear especially as she was standing directly in front of Yasuo who was so tall that he seemed twice her size.

She quietly and nervously gulped, but it was too late to turn around and act like she hadn't done what she had just done, so even though she was feeling slightly regretful about her actions, she remained standing, acting like a wall.

Yasuo wanted to sigh and complain out loud that it was unfair that his kind action was being misunderstood as a cruel one but didn't as that would go too far against the character of the original plus with his friends around him, he didn't want to come off too soft or else they were only going to pester him even more for favors and whatnot.

Obviously, he could always block them, but he didn't want to lose these useful lackeys until he knew the complete purpose he was in this world.

"Look at her, shaking from head to toe," one of his friends snickered quietly behind him.

"What a good girl. I want a girl who protects me like this too."

"Did you see the way her boobs jiggled when she ran? Good damn, I'd hit that from Monday to Friday," another said but a rule amongst them was that any girl who was the partner of Yasuo's bully victims was off-limits so he kept his devious intentions to just his imagination.

"Why not to Sunday?"

"Because I got to save those days for my girlfriend of course. Kekekeke," he laughed.

Ignoring his friends behind him, Yasuo waited for Shinju to speak first.

The first words that came out of her mouth were, "I knew you were lying."

That accusation ticked off Yasuo slightly because being doubted this many times was annoying even if her doubt was reasonable with his history.

She continued, "I... I can't believe for a split second that I believed you could change," with eyes that were quaking in fear, nervousness, but also anger.

Hitoshi who was listening to Shinju was confused about what she was saying and in a quivering voice that was slightly terrified about what was about to happen to him, he called her name loud enough for her to hear but not loud enough to take Yasuo's attention off of her and back to him, "Shinju."

On one hand, he was grateful and his love for her grew even stronger by the fact that his girlfriend was defending him.

But on the other hand — he was terrified. How much harder was he going to get beaten up as a consequence? How was Yasuo going to get revenge on Shinju? Was he going to get one of his female friends to pour milk on her in the bathroom?

Putting her arms down, she turned to Hitoshi and said, "Put your money away. I... I'll deal with him."

"W-what?" a confused Hitoshi uttered.

Yasuo's friends chuckled behind him. They found the timid Shinju saying that she could deal with Yasuo to be hilarious, while some wondered if what she meant was that she was going to give Yasuo what he wanted, which would spell the end of Hitoshi's tenure as the victim.

What did he want? That was obvious.

"D-don't do anything rash," Hitoshi whispered. "It's okay. I-I can handle it. "

"Don't worry," she said with a smile that was made of plastic with a tinge of guilt in it. "I got this. Just trust me."

"No. What are you going to do? Whatever it is, it won't work," Hitoshi said, not even contemplating for a second that Shinju meant that she was going to sell her body to Yasuo in exchange for his freedom.

Their relationship was too tight. They had known each other for many years. He did not doubt in his mind for one second about her loyalty, and she'd never let another man touch her before he did. They promised to have their first time together once they got married.

She wasn't going to break that promise.

"It'll work. Trust me," she raised her smile before turning around, grabbing Yasuo by the wrist, and dragging him out of the school building.

Hitoshi watched the two of them disappear in the distance with horror in his face.

The next time he saw her, what if she had beaten up black and blue? He never heard of Yasuo ever putting his hands on a girl before but who was to say that he wouldn't change his mind?

Wanting to get up and chase after them, just as he was about to stand up, there was no strength in his legs and his knees were shaking profusely so he fell back down.

Yasuo's friends laughed and pointed at him for a few seconds before they went about their day, heading to their classes or ditching them.

Elsewhere, Yasuo was being dragged by Shinju, and with their size difference, if he wanted to resist, he could plant himself on the spot and she wouldn't be able to make him budge a single millimeter but he didn't do that, allowing her to guide him wherever.

Now that she had her fingers wrapped around his waist, she didn't actually know what she was going to say.

Was she just going to be straight up and tell him to fuck her in exchange for leaving her boyfriend alone?

Was she going to curse at him first for playing with her feelings and lie about being done with the bullying?

She didn't have an answer.

She kept repeating this action of looking back with her mouth open as if she was going to say something but would stop last second every time as if the courage she needed to express her thoughts wasn't all the way there yet.

'Where is she taking me?' Yasuo wondered and he asked her, "Could you let go of my wrist?"

"Oh. Oh! Yeah. O-of course. S-s-sorry about that," she said as she released her hold on him. She felt compelled to apologize even though he had just been in the middle of extorting her boyfriend's money.

'W-wait? Why am I apologizing?!'

Realizing how foolish she sounded, she glared at Yasuo as if she was blaming him for tricking her even though there was no trickery going on at the moment.

"Why are we at the parking lot?" Yasuo asked. A few students making their way to school were watching them from a distance because the only people who frequented the parking lot were teachers and staff.

Rather than answering his question, she said, "I knew you were lying. L-l-liar."

Rolling his eyes at the misunderstanding, he didn't bother clarifying the misunderstanding but instead asked her, "What does me being a liar have to do with you pulling me to the parking lot?"

"Be-because I'm tired of you bullying Hitoshi," she responded. Taking a deep breath, she gathered all of the courage she had in her short frame to say these next words: "You're a big man, right? Aren't you ashamed of picking on people smaller than you? W-w-what? A-are you too scared to pick on someone your own size?"

'A kitten is pretending to be a lion,' Yasuo laughed in his head.

"Pick on someone my own size?" Yasuo leaned forward and whispered into her ear, "Who? Who at this school fits that description?" Then as he pulled away, he let out a light chuckle that sent shivers up her spine.

Shinju couldn't help but hesitate with her next move; was it the right thing to proceed or to retreat? Her mind was disagreeing with her heart. Yet the heart knew that the mind was correct.

She had to do it.

"If this useless lecture of yours is all you have to say then I'm going to get going. Haa. What a waste of time. Why bring me all the way here for something you could've just said in that hallway," Yasuo scoffed as he began turning around.

'No!'

Before he could leave, Shinju's arm moved on its own and pulled on the sleeve of his jacket.

"..."

She was speechless at what she just did. She saw Yasuo turn around, glancing at her, then at her hand pulling on his jacket, then back at her.

"..."

"..."

"...:

'Say something before he kills you!' she was panicking, believing that she had just pissed off Yasuo even though he was actually in a calm state, observing her.

"Don't!" she yelled a single word.

'Don't what?' Yasuo patiently waited for her to finish her sentence.

Shinju was currently stunned at her audacity. Did she really just grab the school's most notorious bully's jacket sleeve and yell a single word in his face? Was today going to become the anniversary of her death?

In a more timid and quieter voice, she said, "Don't bother my boyfriend anymore. Just leave him alone and act like he doesn't exist."

'Buddy, I really truly honestly am not planning on bullying your boyfriend anymore. But even if I told you, you just wouldn't believe me,' Yasuo sighed. 'Should I just bully him to justify her feelings?'

Deciding to play along with her for the moment, he asked, "Why should I listen to you?"

"...That's your car over there?" she asked.

Not moving his head, Yasuo took a quick glance at where she was looking and nodded. That black sports car was indeed his. She knew it. The question was more rhetoric and more of a tactic to delay the inevitable more than anything.

Fingers still tightly on his jacket sleeve, she led him to his car.

"Now why have you brought me to my own car?" he asked even though he had a pretty solid idea of what she was planning; the same plan she was trying to accomplish the previous day.

"You know what," she answered while quietly grinding her teeth. Her voice became as quiet as a mouse when she said, "I'm taking you to my apartment."

Raising an eyebrow, a "confused" Yasuo asked, "Now why would I go to someone's apartment? What are we going to do there? Play chess, perhaps?"

"Stop messing with me more than you have to, please," she requested. "I... I'm not a fool. I know why you go around bullying those poor students."

"And what is this purpose? Please enlighten me."

"...Y-your twisted kink."

"Haa," he chuckled. "And what is this kink?"

"...Do I have to say it?"

"If you want me to unlock the car then yeah. Say it. Say it with your own mouth," Yasuo said, getting a little more into character than he was planning on initially.

Shinju's gaze was so intense that it could've shot out lasers. In a voice so quiet that only the heavens and Yasuo could hear, she responded, "You like to have sex with their girlfriends."

"Ahhhh. I see. Is that why we're heading to your apartment?" Yasuo asked, tilting his head.

"...Yes."

Beep.

The car was unlocked.
