Luna grinned. "Alright, how about 600 thousand dollars a year? All you have to do is cook for me."

Jaden shook his head. "Still no."

Luna upped the ante. "Fine, 2 million dollars."

"No."

Finally, in frustration, Luna joked, "What if I use my looks as a bargaining chip?"

Jaden smirked. "Uhm, nope."

Luna laughed, giving up on the idea altogether. With her arms full of veggies and eggs, and Jaden holding a duck in one hand and a pumpkin in the other, they strolled down the garden path, quietly chatting. The scene looked like something straight out of a peaceful, rustic painting.
