Chapter 18

"Hello, I'll be staying here. Don't drink my blood, it's nasty." 

For a moment, silence engulfed the entire mansion as the vampires stared at Arthur, their expression's changing to one's of confusion and befuddlement as they gazed at the confident Human who had just strolled in.

'What?' Emmet thought in confusion before his mind quickly computed the words.

And in the very next moment, The larger-like vampire, Emmet Cullen curled up as he started laughing at the pitch of his lungs as if what he had just heard had been the funniest joke in existence.

"Is something wrong with his head?" Arthur questioned as he turned his gaze toward Edward.

"Probably," Edward replied with a soft smirk before he walked closer to the rest of the Cullens, Arthur following behind him.

'I look like a duck following behind him.' Arthur thought as he stared at the faces of the vampires around the room.

'An Ugly duck.'

Arriving in the living room, Arthur turned his head toward the other vampires besides Edward.

The first to greet him were the Parents.

Carlisle and Esme Cullen.

"It's a pleasure meeting you Arthur, though I hope you don't mind that we didn't prepare anything," Carlisle said, his facial expression soft, so soft in fact that he looked like he couldn't hurt a fly.

"Arthur Moriarty, It's a pleasure meeting you aswell Carlisle." Arthur replied taking the man's hand and giving him a handshake.

Turning his head to the right, he gave Carlisle's wife a greeting as well.

"You must be Esme Cullen, It's a pleasure meeting you too," Arthur said as he extended his hand however the woman didn't even deign his hand a look before she engulfed Arthur in a hug.

'Uhh ok?' Arthur thought as he gave her an awkward pat on the back.

"Sorry about that, It's just so great that we can meet you so soon."

"Right, It's great," Arthur replied, not really knowing how to respond to the woman's words.

Walking past the two, he was met with three people.

Emmet Cullen as well as the Hale siblings.

"It's a pleasure meeting you all as well, I hope we get along well," Arthur said as he offered a handshake, however, the only one who took it was Emmet Cullen whilst the Hales were only staring at him.

"It's nice to finally be able to see Alice's fabled mate. I'm Emmet, if you need anything just ask me." Emmet replied as he gave a chuckle.

"Sure, I'll make great use of that promise," Arthur replied as he gave the man a serious nod, considering Arthur's tone rarely changed, It sounded like he had taken everything Emmet had said at face value and wasn't joking at all.

Emmet gave another chuckle before stepping back.

Turning his head, Arthur was once more met with Rosalie Hale and Jasper Hale.

One looked like she despised him to the very core whilst the other looked like he was suffering as if he was being stabbed repeatedly over and over.

"You dont like humans and you are barely able to control your urges. It was nice meeting you, bye." Arthur said before turning around and heading toward the last Cullen in the room.

At his words, Jasper and Rosalie's expressions changed as they turned to look at Arthur walking away.

"A gift?"

"No idea," Edward replied to their question.

"Well, he certainly is interesting." Emmet offered as he kept a large smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Arthur arrived in front of Alice Cullen.

"Hey, I'm staying the night here. Edward didn't leave me any other choice."

"I did not!" Edward said almost instantly.

He had to immediately deny the accusation, saying something like that to Alice was dangerous, not for Arthur but dangerous for him.

'This guy…'

Alice giggled in response before nodding.

"Alright, I need to head out to hunt for a while with Emmet, Rosalie and Jasper. See you tomorrow Arthur." Alice replied as she gave him a nod and motioned for the others to follow her.

Arthur saw Alice start running with Emmet, Jasper, and Rosalie quickly following behind her.

"They sure are fast, I'd say around two hundred kilometers an hour? Maybe slightly slower." Arthur mumbled as he turned to face Edward, Carlisle, and Esme, the only ones left in the room.

"You can see them?" Carlisle questioned, his curiosity piqued as he looked at Arthur.

"That's something Edward and I wanted to question you about actually," Arthur replied as he walked to the couch and sat down, the others quickly following suit.

Carlisle was sitting on the small couch next to Arthur together with Esme whilst Edward sat on the couch opposite to Arthur.

"My body is weird, extremely so and i showcase almost supernatural levels of strength and speed aswell as senses. I was wondering if you would be able to figure out if I'm just a enhanced human or some other species." Arthur asked calmly despite how heavy of a topic this was.

"I can try however I would need to research your powers extensively and even then I am not confident that I can find what you are with a one hundred percent chance of success," Carlisle replied as he brought a hand and held his chin in thought.

"That's fine, though lets do that tomorrow, having dinner with your son and daughter was quite tiring. Can you show me to a bedroom please?" Arthur said as he released an exagerated sigh.

Though because of the tone of his voice, as always he sounded completely serious.
