Do not let her out of your side

Aiden turned to leave but paused for a moment. Without looking back, he muttered, "It's good you're back."

Then he walked out

Summer stared after him, blinking.

"…Did he just—"

"Yeah," I muttered, stretching my legs onto the coffee table. "Take it and run before he changes his mind."

She grinned. "Damn right I will."

And just like that, things felt normal.

For now.

A few days passed, and life at the villa settled into something that almost felt normal. Summer had slipped into the routine seamlessly—waking up late, raiding the kitchen, lazing around the house, and making herself at home like she had never been gone. If anyone walked in and saw her, they wouldn't have guessed she had been kidnapped by a psychotic stalker not long ago.k

And that was the problem.

She never spoke about it.
