Chapter 18: First match!
Haruki:*yawwwwwn*
He stretched while rising up from the futon.
Haruki:(holy shit, I can't remember the last time I slept by 8!)
Haruki:I feel sooooo active!!!!
Haruki:... Hori?
Hori: good morning haruki san.
She was in a corner STILL watching! her eyes were swollen and the screen shining brightly on her face.
Haruki:oh my God, hori you didn't stay up all night did you?
Haruki asked with a worried face coming closer to her.
Hori:ahhh I'm finally done...!
She had finished the entire My Blade series!
Hori: now I can pass on.
Hori fainted!
Haruki: what the! wake up!!
Haruki: God I should have put a password, how the hell does somebody watch something through out the night!
Haruki:...I guess I should let her sleep....
Haruki stood up and stretched.
He then carried hori and layed her on the futon.
Haruki: gotta go bathe.
Sinner of racism: for the wages of sin is death!!!!
Haruki:a sinner?!
Haruki went outside and saw the sinner of racism hori had tied to a tree!
Haruki: must've been hori that did this...
Haruki: but on a serious note how do priests kill sins and sinners,I can't wait to find out when we finish the SABBATH EXAMS!
Haruki bent down and started eating the sinner.
Haruki:*gulp* ughhh!! Tastes so bad!
Haruki went to collect his phone from the floor.
He bathed and got dressed in a red shirt and black jeans.
Haruki: time to prepare some food.
Haruki went to the store to buy some ingredients.
Haruki: ah old man! Good morning!
Haruki greeted the store owner, he was just opening the shop.
Tengokyu: hmph, it's that pretty boy.
Tengokyu: you should address me more respectfully, boy!
Tengokyu: I'm about 70 years old!
Haruki: man the weather sure is nice today huh?!
Haruki completely ignored the old man, taking in the morning air.
Tengokyu:(tsk tsk tsk, this "Gen z" have no respect...!)
Tengokyu: your in a good mood today...
Haruki: yh I slept real early yesterday.
Tengokyu:.....hori chan came yesterday night,if you two are in a relationship, you should take better care of her...!
Tengokyu: such a wonderful girl shouldn't walk alone at night!
Haruki:oh hori and I aren't dating... I'm not sure she even knows what dating is....
Haruki said looking up wondering if hori even knows the word "romance"
Haruki: anyways, she's tough! I'm proud to say she can handle her self when things get dangerous!
He exclaimed with a smug look.
Tengokyu:(that explains her strength against those robbers, and her participating in the SABBATH EXAMS)
Tengokyu:(maybe this boy has seen some even more bizarre sides of hori chan)
Haruki: enough chatting old man, I wanna buy something!
Tengokyu: how rude!
Haruki finished his shopping and was heading home.
Haruki:(wow so hori went there all by herself at night, and came back home?!)
Haruki:(she even brought back a sinner!)
Haruki:(she's definitely stronger than before)
Haruki thought with a smile.
Haruki:(hehe, look at me being all proud)
He blushed, twisting his locks trying to settle the embarrassment.
Narrator: It seems haruki was experiencing a type of joy new to him, one of a teacher seeing his student grow, or that of a father watching his daughter's performance in a school play.
Narrator: A truly satisfying feeling.
Narrator:....as for our MC.....
Hori:*snore!* *Snore!*
Hori was laying down so recklessly on the futon, like a drunk, back from a pub.
Haruki: I'm home!!
Haruki had arrived and saw hori in her sleeping state.
He simply giggled and went to the kitchen.
Haruki: time to make an awesome dish just for hori!!!
About 3 hours passed, the time is now 11:30
William Obeya: this is when I usually wake up... God I'm tired.
Hori:*yawn!!!*
Hori finally awakened!
Hori: what is that aroma???
She exclaimed! Her nose guiding her to the kitchen!
Hori saw the arranged meals lined up and beautifully decorated in front of her.
Hori:uwahhh!!!
She brimmed with excitement and immediately attempted touching it.
*Smack!*
Haruki hit her hand.
Haruki: your not eating until you take a shower!
Hori:ah haruki san! Good morning!
Hori: hehe, I guess you caught me...!
Hori joked scratching the back of her head.
Hori: wow, haruki san, this all looks beautiful!
Hori: is it a special day?
Hori asked confused at the sudden preparation of exquisite foods!!
Haruki: well I guess it kinda is, today you and I are finally gonna fight!
Hori: ehhh? As In training?!
Haruki: nope, as in serious ACTUAL fighting!
Haruki: I think you spent last night watching a shonnen anime, you should have a little insight on throwing hands!
Hori: understood!
Haruki: yh but go brush your teeths, your morning breath stinks.
Haruki said shooing hori to the bathroom.
Hori: ah apologies....!
Hori went to the bathroom with an embarrassed face.
She took her bath brushed her teeths and got dressed in an oversized lemon
T-shirt and dark purple shorts.... probably Haruki's clothes...
Haruki: you sure do love wearing my clothes.
Hori: ah, yes, their quite comfortable!
Hori: and as much as I appreciate it for the clothes you bought me, their too beautiful for house wear.
Haruki: well you can wear my clothes as much as you want!
Haruki said with a cheerful grin.
Hori: awwn thank you!
She replied with a lovely smile.
Hori: now it's time to eat! I'm starving!!
She was about reaching for the food.
*Smack!*
Haruki slapped her hand again!
Hori: oh c'mon!
Haruki: your not eating until one condition!
Hori: what is it nowwwwwww?!
Hori was starving.
Narrator: you know, girls, don't eat as much as you do, I'm a lady myself so I should know.
Narrator boasted with a smug voice.
Hori: (narrator, good morning! and shut the hell up!!)
Haruki: the condition is, YOU MUST KNOCK ME OUT!
Hori: as in beat you half-dead?
Hori: it's a little mean, but I'm hungry, so my sense of morality is at it's limits.
Haruki: yh, we all get cranky when we're hungry...
Hori:...as you wish haruki san! Let our first REAL bout commence!
Hori was determined! And extremely hungry!!!
They head outside of the house, and took their fighting stances!
Haruki: remember, if you don't knock me out, your not getting any food!
Hori: such an inhumane condition!
Haruki: nah it's not that serious you just eat too much,hori!
Hori: i.. I do not!
She yelled with her face blushing.
Narrator: you kinda do, ya fuckin fatty!
Haruki: oh, and don't worry about using your hands!
Haruki: since I'm serious now, you probably won't lay a finger on me!
Hori: are you sure?!
Hori: their as hard as diamonds when fighting, remember!
She said with a worried look, she didn't want to blow off Haruki's head again.
Haruki: it's okay!
Haruki: alright, here I come!
Haruki dashes towards hori with impressive speed!
Hori:(so fast! I've never seen him move like this!!)
*Fwaaam* Haruki's fist was in front of horis nose!
Hori:(a punch!)
She anticipated a jab to her face and immediately guarded!
Haruki: hehe, psych!
*Spboom!* Haruki struck her stomach instead!!!
Hori:*blurgh!*
Hori threw up blood as Haruki's fist sunk in her gut!
*Fwoom*he further launched hori away by throwing his fist!
She slides away on the ground, coughing from the pain.
Haruki:...(That moment just now,my fist definitely touched her tummy)
Haruki:(but as I pushed her away, the force could've torn through her stomach)
Haruki:(she must've strengthened her stomach by clenching her gut)
Haruki: haha....(Not bad!)
Meanwhile hori...
Hori:*cough!* *cough!!*
Hori: (that punch just now! most certainly could've killed me!)
Hori:(haruki san is SERIOUS!)
Hori:(HE IS GOING FOR THE KILL!!)
Narrator: hori finally accepted the fact, that this was no sparing.
Narrator: but rather a death match!!
Hori stood up cleaned the blood from her mouth and took a fighting stance.
Haruki simply smiled knowing she wasn't going to give up so easily, and she really wants to eat.
Hori: *Blink*
haruki vanished from her eyes, leaving only dust behind.
Hori:(that was even faster!!!!!)
Haruki: smooch!
He peked her forehead.
Hori: ah
Hori froze with a flustered face, as her guard was now down.
*Bam!!!!!!*
Haruki slugged her skull forcing hori into the ground, making a human shaped hole as hori sunk in.
Haruki: NEVER GET DISTRACTED!
Hori: owwwwww!!!!
she exclaimed in pain as she was stuck in the earth.
Haruki: quickly! get up! if I were a douche bag, I'll continue bashing you into the ground until your dead!
Hori quickly stood up from the ground after hearing those words.
Hori:(that hurt!!!)
Hori:(i should attack this time! taking another punch from haruki san will definitely knock me out!!)
Hori: huwahhh!!!
Hori ran attempting to punch haruki!
Haruki:*pfft*(she's full of openings! definitely fast tho)
Hori used full force and punched haruki! only for him to block with his two hands.
He carried her up with one hand and threw her away.
Hori:ugh!
She exclaimed as she landed on the floor.
Narrator: Considering hori's hands just momentarily inherited the properties of diamonds here's an insight of what haruki just felt from that single punch.
Narrator: The dense and heavy properties of her attacking fist generated an enormous amount of kinetic energy, making the punch feel like a freaking SLEDGEHAMMER IMPACT!
Narrator: The sharp edges of her hands would inflict severe lacerations, effortlessly cutting through skin, muscle, and even bone!
Narrator: The force of the punch also caused significant blunt trauma, leading to broken bones, internal injuries, and a shattered wrist!
Haruki: tch,it hurts...!
Haruki yelled with slight tears coming out,
Narrator: like a bloody tattoo, hori's fist made an impritmennt on Haruki's palm.
Hori:oh no, haruki san are you injured?!
She asked with worry.
Haruki: don't worry it'll heal.
Haruki: see?!
He said showing hori his palm.
Hori: phew, thank goodness!
Haruki: but man your hands sure are dangerous, hori!
Haruki: If I wasn't a sin, that'll probably shatter my hands and still land on my face-
Hori's fist was in front of Haruki's face!
*Bam!!!*she finally landed a punch!!
Haruki's head was about removing because of the force but he immediately drew it back and prevented it from flying off.
Haruki:*blurgh!!*
He threw up black blood and knelt on the floor.
Hori: NEVER GET DISTRACTED!
Hori yelled with a grin, parroting Haruki's earlier words,as if mocking him.
Haruki:haha, you bitch...!
One hour later.
Haruki:(one,two, three~)
He was giving hori rotating kicks, but she was barely dodging.
Haruki:(four!)
A kick finally landed!, sending hori flying!!
*Fwoom*she landed on the floor performing 2 back flips.
She stood up and spat some blood.
Hori: wow, haruki san!who taught you how to fight so well?!
Hori was impressed!
Haruki: oh, it was my mom...
Hori: ah
Haruki:... let's continue.
Hori: I'm, sorry,I didn't mean to-
Haruki: let's continue.
He cut hori off.
Haruki dashes towards hori again, immediately closing the distance!
Hori:(strike now!)
Hori: hiyah!
Hori was about raising her leg for a round house kick-
*Thmp!* Haruki stopped her leg from ascending by halting her knee with his left hand!
Hori:(hehe! As expected!)
Haruki launched his hands towards hori's throat! A lethal attack!!!!
*Block!*hori defended her neck, right before his knuckles made contact! that really could've killed her!!!
She drew Haruki's now clenched fist towards her and gave him a good old NOD!!!!
Haruki:ahhhh!! Fuck!!
He fell back rubbing his forehead!
Haruki: the fuck?! you ain't tanjiro!!! that Fucking hurt damnit!!!
*Smack!*hori kicked haruki to the floor!
Haruki:*blurgh!*
He threw up blood!
Hori walked towards him, and pinned him down.
*Boosh!!!!*she landed a DIRECT
blow.
Haruki:ah hori-
*Boosh!!!!!*she landed a second blow!!!!
Haruki: hori wait-
*Boosh!!!!!*the third blow stronger than the last two!! Haruki's skull finally cracked! his head, now completely busted, sending his brain flying!!
Narrator: when hungry, creatures will do ANYTHING.
Narrator: Hori was simply following orders...
Narrator: KNOCK HIM OUT!!
Haruki: gasp!
He was resting on hori's lap,it was now sunset, the time exactly 5:30 pm
Hori:ah, haruki san! thank goodness your awake!
Hori exclaimed stroking his long hair which was now loose
(hori scattered his entire head that's why)
Haruki slowly stood up.
Haruki: this is the second time now huh?
He said rubbing his eyes.
Haruki: wait,why aren't I wearing a shirt?!
Indeed!he was without his red shirt!
Hori:oh it was stained with blood so I removed and washed it.
Hori: i...I didn't do anything indecent okay?!
Haruki: woah,I wasn't accusing you, your not a perv
Hori:....*growllllllll*
Haruki:... no way... you haven't eaten?!
Hori:ehm..I haven't...
Haruki:why?!I told you to eat if you knocked me unconscious!!!
Hori: well you see... the food was arranged quite well, so I figured you must have taken a lot of time to prepare it...
Hori:...I... I simply wanted us to enjoy the meal together.
Hori said with a flustered face.
Haruki:.....
Haruki was speechless,he simply just looked at hori in astonishment.
Haruki:..(the old man was right...)
He tilted his head still looking at hori.
Haruki:(...what a lovely girl...)
Hori: but I knew it would get spoilt, so I asked tengokyu San if I could use his fridge!
Haruki: great thinking hori!
He said patting her head.
Haruki: alright, let's go get it, I'll warm it and then we can eat!!!
They did so and arranged the food on the floor... they don't have a dining table, the time is now 6 pm
Hori: f... finally!!!
Haruki and hori: thank you for the meal!!
They finally chow down!
Hori: woooow!!! this is shooooo gooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!
Haruki:of coursh it is! do you know how long it took making it?!
Their grammar interrupted because they were chewing.
They started with the ramen
Hori: haruki san! Haruki san! what's this?!
Haruki: that's pork!
Hori: wow!! it's delicious!!
Hori exclaimed as she took a bite.
Next was the Hot Pot!
Hori: woooooooooooooowwwwww!!!!!
Hori: there's so many things inside!!!
Haruki: let's take our time with this one okay?!
Hori: yes!
They enjoyed the hot pot, gisting and laughing, hori's and Haruki's bond continues to grow...!
Narrator: such good friends....
