Schicksal Headquarters,
The Schicksal of the 15th century was completely different from the Schicksal headquarters of the 21st century.
The 21st-century Schicksal headquarters hovered high in the sky, equipped with an incredibly powerful defense system. Various aerial forces and mechs made Schicksal headquarters a complete aerial war fortress.
The defense mechanisms, resembling something from a future science fiction, prevented even a fly from entering.
Of course, flies couldn't reach such heights anyway.
Although the Captain, with the assistance of the academic support leader Theresa and the Valkyries, successfully brought the Hyperion to Schicksal headquarters...
That was just plot necessity.
However, the 15th-century Schicksal headquarters wasn't so powerful. It was just a building with strict defenses.
At this time, Schicksal headquarters had a style similar to the medieval papacy, looking very similar to Catholicism and Christianity...
Schicksal could be considered the Honkai World's version of Catholicism.
Today, Schicksal headquarters—guarded by countless soldiers, knights, warriors, and Valkyries—welcomed some uninvited guests.
Perhaps even Schicksal's own personnel wouldn't have believed anyone would dare cause trouble at their headquarters. Even after the failed Eastern Campaign, Schicksal remained Europe's dominant power.
Who would be so reckless as to provoke Schicksal headquarters?
Yet... something truly had arrived today. Not humans, but strange metallic creatures three to four meters tall, their entire bodies resembling metal.
These things were now rapidly approaching Schicksal's main gate.
As they ran, the ground trembled beneath their feet.
"Enemy attack!"
"Stop them! Don't let these monsters enter the gate!"
Seeing the charging metallic masses, the heavily armed guards surrounding the headquarters immediately raised their cross-shaped shields and drew their Great Swords, blocking the entrance.
Schicksal's armed forces weren't limited to Valkyries and super warriors. After all, those with Honkai resistance were few, though Schicksal already boasted a considerable number of Valkyries.
The majority were ordinary people.
Even without being Valkyries, the soldiers guarding Schicksal headquarters were elite fighters capable of holding their own against ten ordinary opponents, let alone being fully armed.
Though not a match for Valkyries, they were far beyond what ordinary people could resist.
The knights guarding Schicksal headquarters were particularly elite among them.
If not for the catastrophic losses suffered during the Eastern Campaign... they would have been even more formidable.
Before the Guardians of Schicksal soldiers, ten Titans materialized as if from thin air. Seven close-combat Titans were already charging toward the soldiers.
Leading the charge was a golden Titan known as the "Valkyrie's Bane" - the Titan Father.
Behind the golden Titan Father, two white Titans and four ordinary-colored Titans followed closely.
Bringing up the rear were three slow-moving ranged Titans.
The charging close-combat Titan mechs rapidly closed the distance to Schicksal's guard forces, reaching the shield-bearing soldiers and unleashing a barrage of iron fists.
Soldiers within a dozen meters were sent flying like ragdolls.
Their cross-shaped shields proved utterly ineffective.
Seven Titans' punches struck the earth, causing the ground to tremble violently.
Yet this was Schicksal's headquarters. Almost as soon as the Titans appeared, the outer guards had already sent warnings. Patrol and guard units from the headquarters immediately rushed to support, including Valkyrie Corps members, modified super soldiers, and Knights.
After the close-combat Titans cleared the outer guards, countless warriors poured out from within Schicksal's compound.
"What kind of monster is this?"
"Is it a Honkai Beast? I don't sense any Honkai energy. It must be an unknown creature."
"Whatever it is, daring to invade headquarters means extermination without mercy!"
The warriors who appeared stared at the three- to four-meter-tall iron behemoth blocking the entrance, momentarily surprised. They quickly regained their composure.
After all, these were Schicksal's elite forces. They had suppressed countless Honkai Beasts, and even unfamiliar monsters held no fear for them.
These Valkyries and knights, completely brainwashed by Schicksal and willing to sacrifice everything for its cause, could not tolerate anyone—or any monster—causing trouble at Schicksal's headquarters.
This was an insult to their very being.
Without hesitation, the Valkyries and guard warriors drew their weapons.
The ranged Valkyries fired first, unleashing bullets charged with raging Honkai energy. These projectiles, capable of easily annihilating low-level Honkai Beasts, struck the Titan armor, leaving nothing more than dents.
Undeterred by the ineffective bullets, the Valkyries pressed forward. Led by the Schicksal Knight Corps, they charged toward the Titan armor.
Among them, the Valkyrie at the forefront was also the captain of a headquarters guard squadron, possessing the strength of an A-rank Valkyrie. Her knight's spear transformed into a serpentine dragon as she thrust it toward the golden Titan leading the formation.
Just as the spear was about to strike, a crimson energy shield materialized before the golden Titan.
The knight's spear struck the energy shield directly. The moment it made contact, the Valkyrie Knight felt a searing pain as if the spear had pierced through her own body rather than the golden Titan.
In the next instant, she coughed up blood, her spear slipping from her grasp as her body crumpled to the ground.
The Valkyries following behind immediately noticed something amiss. They stared at their fallen knight leader... utterly bewildered by her sudden collapse.
But... when they too attacked the golden Titan, they instantly understood.
The Titan's red energy shield wasn't just rebounding attacks—it was inflicting counter damage. Unlike the Titan Berserker's reflective strikes, this crimson shield transferred 100% or more of the impact's force back onto the attacker, leaving the Titan completely unharmed and undeterred.
This was the legendary Titan known as the Valkyrie's Bane—the Patriarch.
Unlike in the game, this ability could be activated at any time, not just when health was critically low.
Realizing their attacks were being fully redirected, the Valkyries and super soldiers immediately retreated, too terrified to approach the Titan Father again.
Further assaults would only lead to pointless sacrifices.
Not worth it.
Within moments, over a dozen guardian warriors lay fallen around the Titan Father.
