Chapter 94: Entering Schicksal Headquarters

Though the Valkyries and these knights and warriors remained unengaged, it didn't mean the Titans would hold back.

Led by the Titan Father, the remaining Titans charged directly toward the surrounding Schicksal warriors.

The invincible Titan's fist smashed into the ground, instantly creating a crater.

Forget ordinary people—even Valkyries and Honkai Beasts couldn't withstand a Titan's attack.

The front-line melee Titans began their frenzied hunt of the Tianming Warriors. The three rear-range mechs didn't dawdle either, launching countless small missiles.

The missiles rained down on Schicksal's gates, bombarding the surrounding Tianming Warriors.

Simultaneously, strange substances landed near the Valkyries and soldiers, instantly paralyzing everyone in place.

This was the electrifying material from the [Flame Demon Sword].

Having never faced enemies like these Titan mechs before, despite Schicksal's headquarters likely being more powerful than these ten Titans, they found themselves overwhelmed.

Within moments, hundreds of soldiers and three entire squads of Valkyries and Knights fell.

Especially devastating were the losses against the Titan Father's counterattack shield and the ancient and Berserker mechs' retaliation shields.

The counter-shield was manageable, merely reflecting their own attacks. But the counter-damage was completely unreasonable.

What further depressed the Valkyries was the Flame Demon Sword's electrifying substance. This material could instantly paralyze all Valkyries - even S-rank Valkyries who accidentally touched it would be immobilized, forced to passively endure the assault.

The Titan's iron fists required only a single punch to make Valkyries cry for mercy.

Though the Titan's attack speed was slow, this flaw was perfectly mitigated by the support from distant Titans.

After sustaining heavy losses, the Valkyries finally devised a strategy. They needed to eliminate the three long-range Titans first, especially the Flame Demon Sword.

The Flame Demon Sword's electrifying substance was simply too vile.

Once the long-range Titans were neutralized, they could then clear out the remaining unshielded close-range Titans. The remaining Patriarch, Berserker, and Ancient Titans could be worn down through guerrilla warfare.

Just as a Valkyrie squad broke free from the melee Titans and charged toward three long-range mechs, they suddenly found a white-haired girl wearing a crow mask standing between the Titan mechs.

Perched on her shoulder was a peculiar object.

"Watch out! Danger..."

One Valkyrie noticed the faint smile playing on the crow-masked girl's lips and her expression shifted. She urgently shouted a warning and began veering sideways.

As she moved, the strange object on the girl's shoulder fired... a barrage named [God Cannon].

The charged shot struck the ground ahead, unleashing an explosion dozens of times more powerful than the long-range mechs' missiles.

"I hope they're not dead... After all, they're Valkyries. They shouldn't go down so easily, right?"

The masked girl retracted the Hand of Tyr from her shoulder and muttered to herself, observing the Valkyries that had been blown away by the explosion...

The girl wearing the crow mask was none other than Serenade. She hadn't brought Kallen along this time, instead leading eight newly summoned Titans alone.

Though Schicksal had become corrupted, it was still the organization Kallen had once sworn loyalty to, filled with former comrades and friends.

But for Serenade, none of that mattered.

Still, she did show some mercy toward these Valkyries. While the Titans didn't hold back in their attacks, they did take care not to... completely finish them off.

Though the ground seemed littered with fallen Valkyries, most of them... weren't truly dead...

Not dead enough that a single vial of healing potion couldn't revive them.

After all, she was a Valkyrie herself. Even against enemy Valkyries... she tried to be as gentle as possible...

Of course, if they chose to die, there was nothing she could do about that.

Of these ten Titan mechs, apart from the initial Titan Berserker and ordinary Titan, the remaining eight were summoned by Serenade yesterday.

After completing the mission for Otto and once again obtaining 1000 Ai-chan Exclusive Coins, Serenade prepared for the counterattack on Schicksal's headquarters. She spent 400 Limited Coins to summon eight Titans, unexpectedly including one Titan Father among them.

Now, the ten Titans consisted of seven close-combat models: one Titan Father, one Titan Berserker, one Primeval Machine, and four ordinary Titans.

Behind them stood three ranged mechs - two Thunderbolt Mechas and one Flame Demon Sword.

The Titan Father's counterattack shield was incredibly powerful, similar to the Primordial Titan and Titan Berserker, but with slightly lower armor values.

The Thunderbolt Mecha was the lowest-tier ranged unit among the Titans. Even as the most basic model, it still outperformed some B-class Valkyries.

The Thunderbolt Mecha's attribute was Mechanical. It featured missile launchers mounted on both sides. Its movement speed was relatively slow.

It could attack by firing missiles. If enemies approached, it would also use stomping to repel surrounding targets.

The Thunderbolt Mecha carried two types of missiles: Guided Missiles and Homing Missiles.

Guided Missiles: After laser targeting, these missiles would follow the laser path, dealing damage to units in a straight line.

Homing Missiles: These missiles would be launched skyward before tracking and attacking targets, causing multiple bursts of damage.

Stomp: When enemies approached, it would stomp, dealing damage and repelling surrounding targets...

Then the Flame Demon Sword was an enhanced version of the Thunderbolt Mecha, with increased armor values and the ability to fire electrified projectiles.

"Titans, enter the compound."

With missiles clearing the way, seven close-quarters Titans began their assault on Schicksal's headquarters.

Facing the Titans' charge, Schicksal's guards and warriors proved utterly incapable of resistance. They were forced to open a breach, allowing the armored behemoths to breach Schicksal's defenses.

Serenade, meanwhile, transformed into a shadowy wraith and followed the Titans into the compound's depths.

Upon entering Schicksal's headquarters, the attacks from the defending warriors and knights intensified.

Serenade glanced at the scene, then paid no further heed to the Titans. Clutching her map, she pressed deeper into the heart of Schicksal's stronghold alone.

As she approached an area heavily guarded by Schicksal's forces, Serenade hesitated not a moment. She spent 50 Ai-chan Exclusive Coins to acquire another random Titan Summoning Card.

Though possessing SSS-rank Valkyrie capabilities, Serenade knew that in this era - unlike the Schicksal of five centuries hence - no one could match her except perhaps the enigmatic Red Kite Immortal. The Valkyries here lacked their future void devices and super-powered auxiliary systems.

But this was the enemy's headquarters - the seat of power for the century's dominant force. Who knew what hidden dangers might lurk? Better to err on the side of caution.

Better safe than sorry...

These few Ai-chan Coins were nothing compared to the rewards from the main quest. What needed to be spent must be spent.
