Chapter 95: Magnetic Storm

Serenade held the Titan Summoning Card and observed the soldiers guarding the entrance. Despite the chaos surrounding the headquarters' perimeter, these soldiers remained steadfast in their posts, completely ignoring the turmoil outside.

It was easy to guess that something important—perhaps a key figure—must be hidden within.

Though the guards were curious about the commotion, they stood motionless with weapons at the ready, demonstrating the discipline of seasoned soldiers.

After all, ancient soldiers were notoriously prone to desertion.

Serenade assessed the guards before her. They appeared to possess C-rank or even B-rank Valkyrie capabilities, with the two women at the center possibly being A-rank Valkyries.

Don't be deceived into thinking B-rank Valkyries are common in this world. In truth, possessing B-rank Valkyrie strength already marks one as a top-tier expert.

Even Hokushin Mei, the first warrior of the Far East who was initially possessed by Honkai, only had strength comparable to a B-rank Valkyrie.

The reason so many B-rank and even A-rank Valkyries appeared here was because this was the headquarters of Schicksal, Europe's dominant power.

This place gathered the most elite warriors from across Europe.

Apart from Valkyries on external missions, most of the continent's strongest fighters were stationed here.

There were over thirty soldiers ahead, with several women clearly leading them. These women were undoubtedly Valkyries. As for the remaining men... Though they lacked Honkai resistance, considering their positions at Schicksal headquarters, even if they didn't possess B-grade Valkyrie strength, they should at least be C-grade, right?

While C-grade Valkyries are often considered logistics personnel, that classification wouldn't apply for another five hundred years.

Apart from those special men, the others could only hope to reach C-grade Valkyrie capabilities at best.

Observing the guards ahead, Serenade's eyes glinted. She summoned the Titan not far from herself... but right near the guards.

As the Titan Summoning Card vanished, a machine emerged matching the color of the Primeval Machine, yet its design resembled the Thunderbolt Mecha.

Serenade stared at the summoned Titan, somewhat surprised by her good fortune. Though it couldn't compare to the Flame Demon Sword, it was still impressive. This machine far surpassed the Thunderbolt Mecha in power.

"Magnetic Storm..."

Like the Flame Demon Sword, this machine wielded control capabilities through its electrified properties.

The electrified substance would surely shock these Schicksal personnel to the core.

As the Magnetic Storm mecha emerged, the guards immediately spotted the Titan. Without hesitation, all warriors charged toward the Magnetic Storm, weapons in hand.

Facing the charging soldiers, the Magnetic Storm discharged dozens of electrified particles.

The moment the soldiers neared the electrified particles, they were instantly paralyzed. The Magnetic Storm wasted no time - though it couldn't speak, it needed no words.

Raising its missile launchers, the mecha fired a barrage of missiles in a single salvo.

Against the incoming missiles... ordinary soldiers might have stood a chance. Even Valkyries under normal circumstances could likely evade. But these paralyzed Valkyries could only watch helplessly as the missiles closed in.

The Valkyries, along with the male guards, passively endured the missile assault.

Serenade watched the area where the missiles struck, her expression unchanging.

She had grown accustomed to killing long ago.

Even when facing beautiful Valkyries (none of whom could be considered unattractive), she felt no mercy.

After all, they were now her enemies. Showing leniency toward foes would only be cruel to herself. These Valkyries and warriors from headquarters were like religious fanatics.

For now, there was no way to sway them.

Of course, if they survived with severe injuries that rendered them combat-ineffective, Serenade wouldn't withhold healing potions after the Schicksal's master changed.

By then, these Valkyries would no longer be her enemies.

Serenade glanced at the Magnetic Storm, then strode into the soldiers' guarded area with the Tranquil Rhapsody in hand, her presence as bold as daylight.

Using Titan mechs against these 15th-century fragile Valkyries was truly the right choice.

Everything was going even smoother than she'd imagined.

The Titan mechs already had some advantages over Valkyries, and since they were reverse-engineered products from centuries later, the Schicksal Valkyries had never encountered these advanced machines before.

The Valkyries knew nothing about mechs, while the Titan mechs understood their combat patterns perfectly. With this complete intelligence disparity, the Titan mechs proved far more effective than anyone could have predicted.

If these were 21st-century Valkyries facing the Titan mechs, a small team of just a few Valkyries might have handled them.

There would be no need for such heavy Valkyrie casualties.

Serenade had the Magnetic Storm guard the door while she entered the room alone.

Using Sixth Serenade's powerful sensory abilities, she quickly located a middle-aged man in a soundproof room, who was making revisions to some documents.

The man wore the robes of a Schicksal priest, likely a bishop from the Apocalypse family.

Seeing the middle-aged priest before her, Serenade smiled. This must be one of the high-ranking officials of Schicksal!

"I thought I said not to disturb me! Do you not understand human speech?!" The middle-aged man, apparently sensing someone's presence, impatiently set down his pen and roared. But when a dark blue object pointed at his head, the priest's expression immediately changed.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?!"

"Someone from the Apocalypse family?" Serenade, wearing a crow mask, didn't answer him.

Though it was a question, her tone carried absolute certainty.

"You... you are?"

Hearing Serenade's voice, the middle-aged man's voice trembled with confusion.

"I'm asking the questions... unless you want to die, answer properly."

"I am from the Apocalypse family. I..."

Seemingly startled, the middle-aged priest immediately answered obediently. But before he could finish a sentence, his expression changed abruptly. He pulled out a gun from somewhere and fired directly at Serenade.

"Go die!"
