Bad Rumors Spread

"Celestial Esme Damanor, go back to your room right now and calm yourself down. We will talk about this again later after the situation has subsided. Do you understand?" asked Lexion who was still speaking in a serious and stern tone.

"You're not serious are you? You believe that I made it instead of Eleanor, right?" asked Celestial who was surprised because Lexion was see Celestial who could not control her emotions.

She thought that he assumed that Celestial was doing all this because she felt angry about the painting that had been vandalized. Celestial therefore felt annoyed at Lexion as well and left the living room.

A triumphant smile could be seen on Eleanor's face with her lips slightly curled. She would have been happy to see how Lexion defended her more than Celestial.

However, that only made Roxarion angry, and immediately pushed his twin brother with an annoyed face.

"What are you getting at? You don't seriously trust this woman over Celest do you? Are you stupid or too blind to see the fact that there is?!" he asked in a slightly high tone making Lexion stare even more intently at Roxarion.

"I'm not defending Eleanor, I just want Celestial to calm herself down first so that we can talk about this matter calmly. And you..." He then turned to Eleanor who made her surprised and immediately returned to acting with a sad face.

"You go back to your room too. I don't want this matter to get so big because of the ruckus you're making. I'm going to find out who is right and who is wrong in this, so if I find out that one of you two is wrong then I will punish you," he continued.

Then she immediately stood up from her seat and was helped by Samantha to leave the living room.

While Roxarion immediately ran after Celestial, he couldn't see his younger sister depressed like that. He knew Lexion was indeed a serious and firm man but in this situation it made Roxarion feel like Lexion was blaming Celestial for what happened.

The man was sure that Eleanor was the one who had caused this problem.

"Celest, wait for me! I know Xion was very stupid today. But you still have me. I believe you that that annoying woman caused all this trouble. I believe you," Roxarion said while holding Celestial's shoulders.

He saw clearly that the woman's tears were flowing from her beautiful purple eyes. This sight made Roxarion so angry that he even squeezed her shoulders.

"Don't cry, I swear I will do whatever it takes to prove that she is indeed guilty of this incident," he said while wiping Celestial's tears.

"I just don't understand why Xion would say that. Why would he trust her more than me? I think you're right, Xion is starting to melt for Eleanor," Celestial said.

"I know that, and I'll make sure to make him realize that he was wrong to stay by that woman's side. You have nothing to worry about." He hugged Celestial, trying to calm her down.

Meanwhile, Eleanor looked so happy in her room when she saw how Lexion seemed to scold Celestial and even told her to go to her room. She thought that he was now by her side and that he must have trusted her.

"Did you see her reaction earlier? She really looked disappointed and I finally got to see that expression," Eleanor said as she sat in her dressing table chair.

Samantha walked over to her, then stood behind her. "Of course I saw it Lady Eleanor. She really does look defeated by the situation at hand. Your plan has gone well."

"I know, and I'm sure Lexion won't find any evidence that I stole and used Celestial's design either. We've burned the paper and no one will be able to find it," she said happily.

She looked at herself in the mirror as she smiled. Eleanor really liked her beautiful face when she smiled because before she could only look down silently without fighting back when everyone loved Celestial more than her.

And now that the tide was turning, she felt that this was the beginning where everyone would pay more attention to her than Celestial.

"We'll see how this goes."

What Eleanor thought was true, since the day when she was slapped by Celestial, the bad rumors spread quickly even though only two days had passed since that shocking day.

They were all talking about Celestial's attitude which had suddenly become so rude even to Eleanor who had always been calm and gentle.

"How could someone like her mistreat a girl like Lady Eleanor? I'm not even sure if Lady Eleanor dared to steal Lady Celestial's designs because I know she respects that woman a lot," one of the nobles commented as they talked about the matter.

"She even went to the extent of slapping her, isn't that too much just for a painting?" commented another noble who felt that it was a trivial matter that didn't have to be until Celestial slapped her own adopt-sister even in a public place like a noble school.

They felt sorry and also arrived because they thought that Eleanor must be feeling so sad for being humiliated in a public place by Celestial. They even thought that Celestial was already too proud as the daughter of Duke Damanor who was about to marry the royal prince.

This incident was also heard directly by the royal members where Jayden commented that Celestial was a bad example as a prospective royal member.

"She will only embarrass us all. Just look at what she has done even to her own sister. What if our kingdom gets a bad name just because of one arrogant woman like her?" Jayden asked when the family was gathered together.

"I didn't expect something like this to happen. What exactly made Celestial so angry that she slapped Eleanor?" asked Magdalena who regretted the incident.

But of course Moran and Cecilia did not believe the rumors. Especially Moran who has known Celestial since childhood.

He was sure that his fiancée was not entirely guilty and these rumors were not entirely true either. What if it turned out that Eleanor had stolen Celestial's design, but she did not want to admit it and instead said that Celestial did this because someone had damaged her painting.

"I'm sure Celestial has other reasons for doing this. I'm just suspicious of that woman because she can't be trusted from the start," Cecilia commented, which Moran agreed with.

"Even if Celestial did it, there must be some reason behind it. Even all of us when we're angry won't realize what we're doing. Please don't do anything to her," said Moran.

However, Jayden did not agree with that and asked his parents to rethink about the marriage of Moran and Celestial. According to him, this could bring a bad name to the kingdom because of Celestial's violent nature.

He kept trying to convince his parents that it was better to stop the marriage. This made Moran unhappy because Jayden seemed to be trying to take the opportunity for him and Celestial to separate.

In the middle of their argument, Delon immediately stopped the argument with a firm voice.

"There's no need to make a fuss about this. You shouldn't comment so much on Moran and Celestial's marriage. Didn't I tell you that before? This concerns Moran and Celestial's lives, you shouldn't interfere in making this decision. And I hope father and mother can also see the other side of this incident," he said.

According to him, this could also adversely affect the two families, namely the royal family and also the Damanor family. If the wedding is canceled because of this issue, the good name of the Damanor family will also get worse. So would the relationship between their families.

Jayden clucked in annoyance at his eldest brother's words. Meanwhile, Moran and Cecilia exchanged glances trying to find out the truth of the rumors.

"I hope she'll be fine."
