Is That Right, Celestial?

In the end, Eleanor and Samantha returned to the mansion on foot. The distance was not that far but it was quite time-consuming and labor-intensive to get to the Mansion from the manor school.

"Are you all right, Lady Eleanor?" her maid asked.

She just nodded her head in reply. Eleanor looked very tired and the hot day made her look very weak. Immediately the maid helped Eleanor to sit down and brought her water to drink.

"Drink up Lady Eleanor, you'll get dehydrated if you don't drink now," Samantha said as she handed her a glass of water.

She drank the water and gave it back to Samantha. "Thank you," she said.

"No problem, I know you really need it. Lady Celestial has really gone too far. She left you without waiting to return by carriage and didn't even send anyone to come and pick you up! We've even been waiting for two hours for that," said the servant with annoyance at seeing his exhausted lady having to walk what he thought was a long distance.

The lady could only sigh, but she felt quite satisfied with the reaction from Celestial. Indeed, she was the one who stole Celestial's design and used her painting.

She did so because she was fed up and also so jealous of how people kept supporting Celestial and praising her. She also wanted to get all that praise and support, especially when she saw how Moran treated Celestial.

She felt jealous when she saw Celestial getting such beautiful flowers from her fiancé. Eleanor felt upset, why Celestial should get the flowers and not her when it was her favorite flower.

The envy and jealousy that she had been harboring for so long, she couldn't stand it anymore until finally she decided to meet Helen and ask to be able to participate in the royal exhibition.

Helen, who knew that Eleanor's paintings were equally beautiful, allowed her to participate even though she was hesitant. However, Eleanor assured her that she would not disappoint her.

'Now all the attention will be on me. I'll get all the credit and you won't have any evidence to accuse me of stealing your painting. It's time for my wheels to come off,' she thought with a triumphant smile.

Although she had to endure the embarrassment and pain when Celestial slapped her in front of everyone. But he thought it was worth it to create a bad rumor in everyone's eyes about her step sister.

'That way they'll know that you're not as good a person as they think you are. They'll turn on you now because of what you did to me.'

Not long after, two twin-faced men walked into the mansion and saw Eleanor who was being fanned by Samantha. She still looked limp, making the two men curious.

Moreover, the way Eleanor was sitting half-lying on the sofa made Lexion go straight to her.

"What's going on? Why are you sitting like that on the sofa and you look exhausted," he asked.

Samantha knew that Eleanor wouldn't want to tell her, so she was the one who spoke to Lexion.

She told him what had happened at the noble school two hours ago.

"Lady Celestial had slapped Lady Eleanor and accused her of stealing her painting designs. She even scolded her and left Lady Eleanor at the noble school until we returned to the Mansion on foot," she explained which made Lexion frown when he heard that.

Roxarion, on the other hand, felt that it was ridiculous, and he was sure that Celestial's did it because she felt that Eleanor had done something wrong.

He knew how Celestial was when she was trying to create an image for her to paint later. However, he was sure that Eleanor was the one who started this mess.

"I'm sure you did steal it! I know what my little sister is like and she wouldn't have done such a thing if she hadn't been angered by it. And the only person who did it would have been you!" he said, pointing at Eleanor's face.

He didn't really trust the woman from the start, but he was forced to because he had to accept her being a part of his family right now.

Of course, with Roxarion's attitude, Eleanor gasped in shock and tried to look like she had done nothing wrong. It was Samantha who came forward and defended the girl.

"I apologize for my impudence, but why would Lord Roxarion do the same? Why are you also accusing Lady Eleanor of stealing Lady Celestial's property!" She stared unhappily at him, making him become upset at the sight of a servant who dared to stand up to him like that.

The man even went so far as to pull out the sword at his waist and almost hurt Samantha if Lexion hadn't stopped him.

"How dare you yell at me just to defend her. Who do you think you are, you think I don't know what Celest has been up to?!" he said in annoyance but Lexion immediately restrained his twin by giving him the code to stop.

"We won't know the truth if we don't hear both sides." Lexion then ordered a servant to summon Celestial to his presence.

The servant nodded and within a few minutes, the dark blue-haired woman walked over to them and her expression turned annoyed when she saw Eleanor sitting on the sofa.

She still felt disappointed and angry at the girl after all, especially since she had made up her mind to stop caring about Eleanor and maybe she would start being harder on her.

"Sit down Celest, I have something to talk to you and Eleanor," Lexion told her younger sister to sit down.

Celestial then sat a good distance away from Eleanor and Odette stood behind her while glancing sharply at Samantha. Lexion then started talking to them about what he had heard earlier from Samantha.

And it was indeed confirmed by her, that she did slap Eleanor in front of many people because of the frustration she had. It was like a reflex because of what Eleanor had done to her.

"I did do it. But all this was because she started it first. She stole my painting design and handed it over to Lady Helen as if it was hers. Did you think I would just keep quiet when I found out about it?" trying to suppress her emotions.

"I didn't do it. You have no proof of that and you could be misremembering. I know your painting has been vandalized, and you can't show it at the exhibition. But don't do this to me," Eleanor said.

With a sad and pitiable face, she spoke again, "If that's what you want, I have no problem with you using my painting in your name. As long as it makes you happy later and you no longer hate me."

She gripped the arm on the sofa when she heard how Eleanor seemed to be trying to play victim to her. Of course this made her even more upset, she knew she must not get carried away with her anger because she was sure Eleanor was deliberately doing this to see her reaction.

Especially if Celestial slapped her again. This time it would make Lexion and Roxarion witness it.

"I don't want to! You're the one who ruined my painting and stole it too! Do you think I can forgive you for that? And the painting you made you can't claim as your own either. I was the one who first thought of the idea for the painting and I know the most about it!" replied Celestial in a raised tone.

"Don't talk like that. I beg you Celestial, don't hate me for this. I would be willing to give up my painting for you if you really want it," said Eleanor.

Eleanor tried to make Lexion and the Roxarion believe that her painting was indeed purely her own idea. And Celestial was just someone who felt disappointed and also upset that her painting had been tampered with and blamed Eleanor for it.

Odette noticed how her lady was holding back, and she knew Celestial would definitely not be able to hold back from exploding again for long.

While the two of them were arguing about that, Lexion, who had been listening, immediately stopped their argument.

"SILENCE!"

He sounded so firm and also loud that his two younger sisters fell silent and looked at each other. Celestial looked at Eleanor with an annoyed look while Eleanor was still trying to play her role by showing a sad face.

"Xion, you'll believe me more, right? I tried for almost a week to make the design and 3 days to make the painting look perfect but in the end it was ruined because of Eleanor," Celestial said trying to convince her older brother.

"I couldn't have done that! Please stop accusing me of it! Why do you dislike me so much that you accuse me of this?" Again Eleanor tried to defend herself.

But the Lexion's eyes looked so sharp and cold.

"Celestial Esme Damanor!" called Lexion sternly which made Celestial so surprised and stare in disbelief.

"Xion, but she..."

He stood up from his seat and spoke again, "Go back to your room right now!"
