Sharing Vision

Qin Han nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. "That makes sense. We're already seeing the beginnings of that with smart devices. But what about security? Won't that create more vulnerabilities?"

"Exactly," Lin Yun said, pointing at Qin Han as if he'd hit the nail on the head. "Security will be one of the biggest challenges. As more devices become connected, the attack surface for hackers will grow exponentially. That's why cybersecurity will become one of the most critical fields in the coming years. Companies and governments will need people who can protect their systems from increasingly sophisticated threats."

The club members exchanged glances, some nodding in agreement, others looking slightly overwhelmed by the implications. Lin Yun's words carried a weight that was hard to ignore.

"But it's not just about software," Lin Yun added, his tone growing more serious. "Hardware technology is just as important—if not more so. Right now, most of the world relies on a handful of companies for critical components like semiconductors and processors. If those supply chains are disrupted, or if a foreign power decides to cut off access, it could cripple entire industries."

"You're talking about things like chips and processors, right? The stuff that powers everything from phones to servers?" Someone asked.

"Exactly," Lin Yun said. "Hardware is the foundation of everything we do in tech. Without it, even the most advanced software is useless. That's why it's crucial for us to invest in developing our own hardware capabilities. We can't afford to be dependent on others, especially when it comes to national security."

The room was silent for a moment as the club members processed Lin Yun's words. It was a perspective many of them hadn't considered before. They were so focused on software and coding that they hadn't given much thought to the physical components that made it all possible.

Lan Qingxue, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke up. "So, you're saying we need to focus on both software and hardware to stay ahead?"

Lin Yun nodded. "Yes. The two go hand in hand. If we want to build a secure, resilient tech ecosystem, we need to excel in both areas. That means investing in research, developing new technologies, and training the next generation of engineers and programmers."

Qin Han rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "That's a tall order. But it makes sense. If we don't take control of our own tech infrastructure, we'll always be at the mercy of others."

"Exactly," Lin Yun said. "And it's not just about avoiding vulnerabilities. It's about creating opportunities. The countries and companies that lead in hardware and software innovation will dominate the global economy in the coming decades. If we want to be part of that, we need to start now."

The room buzzed with excitement as the club members began to discuss Lin Yun's insights. Some were already brainstorming ideas for projects, while others were debating the implications of his predictions. It was clear that Lin Yun's words had struck a chord.

Fan Xian, who had been leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, grinned and nudged Li Shun. "See? I told you Brother Lin is a genius. He's always thinking ten steps ahead."

Li Shun nodded, his eyes wide with admiration. "It's amazing how much he knows. I feel like I've learned more in the past hour than I have in months."

Qin Han walked over to Lin Yun, his expression a mix of respect and curiosity. "Lin Yun, you've given us a lot to think about. But how do you know all this? I mean, you're only a freshman, right?"

Lin Yun smiled faintly. "I've always been interested in technology, and I've spent a lot of time studying and experimenting. The future is something I think about a lot. I want to be ready for whatever comes next."

Qin Han nodded, though there was a hint of skepticism in his eyes. "Well, whatever the case, you've definitely got a unique perspective. I'd love to hear more of your thoughts sometime. Maybe you could give a talk to the club or something."

Lin Yun shrugged. "I'd be happy to. As long as it doesn't interfere with my other projects."

"Of course," Qin Han said quickly. "We'll work around your schedule. You're a busy guy, after all."

As the meeting wrapped up, Lin Yun felt a sense of satisfaction. He had planted the seeds of an important idea in the minds of the club members, and he knew it was only a matter of time before they began to explore the possibilities he had outlined.

Later that evening, as Lin Yun walked back to the dorm with Fan Xian and Li Shun, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what lay ahead. The hacker club was just the beginning. There were so many things he wanted to accomplish, so many ideas he wanted to bring to life. And with his friends by his side, he knew he could achieve anything.

"So, Brother Lin," Fan Xian said, breaking the silence. "What's next on your grand plan to take over the world?"

Lin Yun chuckled. "One step at a time, Fan Xian. One step at a time."

Li Shun, who had been quietly listening, spoke up. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be amazing. You always seem to know what's coming next."

Lin Yun smiled, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "The future is full of possibilities. And I intend to make the most of them."

Since Booble had integrated into Cloud Browser, the popularity of both products had reached unprecedented heights. The number of users had already reached 200,000, which was extremely large considering the current number of internet users worldwide.

Lin Yun's Sky.com had also transformed into one of the biggest online communities for tech and news globally. There were many offers for advertisements, but Lin Yun had already told Lin Xue beforehand that his product would never accept such offers. As a user himself, Lin Yun understood more than anyone how annoying pop-up ads were.

Of course, Lin Yun wouldn't mind accepting ads when he created something similar to YouTube later. However, he would limit them to only 5 seconds.

Today, Lin Yun came to the company to check the progress of the game engine project.

"Chairman, look at this," Jin Yang said, pointing at the monitor.

Lin Yun looked at it and saw the news about the release of Kidtendo's Game Boy…
