It was supposed to be just a boy.
That's what they thought. Just a kid with gray and purple hair.
But when he transformed, it was terrifying.
The first villains who charged at him quickly realized something was wrong—none of their quirks worked. Their attacks never activated. Behind their masks, shock and confusion spread across their faces as they looked to each other for answers.
Then, without warning, a powerful force slammed into them. A crushing pressure passed through their bodies, rattling their skulls and sending them staggering backward. It wasn't just pain—it was like a shockwave tearing through their very core.
Realizing the danger, the rest of the villains activated their quirks in advance to test them. This time, their abilities worked. One of them even shouted, "It's Eraser Head! Be careful!"
Raiden wasted no time. Taking advantage of their hesitation and confusion, he clapped his hands together, sending out a burst of psychic energy. In a blur, he darted forward and landed swift, precise blows to the incoming enemies, knocking three of them unconscious with a single strike to the face.
At least eleven villains were closing in on him, while Kaina faced fifteen of her own. She was already locked in close combat with three wearing yellow coveralls, moving efficiently between them.
Raiden fired two Psyshock attacks at the ones still standing after his first strike. At the same time, he sensed movement behind him—two more attackers closing in fast. Without turning, he spun in place, evading their assault and repositioning himself behind them in one fluid motion.
With each hand, he delivered a Confusion attack, his palms pressing against their backs. The villains were lifted off their feet and flung across the room, colliding hard with their allies.
Not wasting a second, Raiden activated Agility once more, his movements becoming even sharper, his body a blur. He closed in on the remaining enemies, preparing to unleash two more Psyshock blasts. One of them struck a villain square in the chest, launching him against a wall.
The other, however, was interrupted. A powerful kick came from his right, striking his arm mid-attack and redirecting the energy downward. The redirected blast slammed into the ground, creating a crater in the concrete floor.
As the dust settled, Raiden scanned the battlefield. Most of the villains in white coveralls were trying to retreat, while the ones in yellow stepped forward.
Each time someone in white tried to flee, Kaina took a moment to activate her quirk and shoot them down. She was methodically making her way to the entrance, positioning herself to cut off any escape route.
"Be careful! The ones in yellow are stronger!" Kaina warned through their mental link as she took down the last few stragglers. Only three enemies remained now—but they were the real threat.
"I see them," Raiden responded with a nod.
Suddenly, one of the men in yellow appeared in front of him, moving almost too fast to track. His kick shot forward like a bullet. Raiden barely managed to block with his tail, reinforcing it with psychic energy.
Even then, the sheer force of the impact sent Raiden skidding backward. His own tail whipped around and struck him in the chest from the momentum. He gritted his teeth and didn't let himself lose focus.
He immediately launched himself upward, flying toward the ceiling to regain his positioning.
Before he could react, another enemy hurled what looked like bowling balls at him. Raiden twisted in the air, dodging the incoming projectiles while simultaneously charging Mega Punch in his right fist.
As he came back down, another enemy rushed in, aiming a kick at his abdomen. Raiden didn't hesitate—he met the attack head-on.
His Mega Punch connected first.
A sickening crunch echoed through the air as his fist smashed into the villain's ribs. A metallic tube in the man's suit bent inward from the impact. Blood sprayed from behind his mask, staining it red as he crumpled to the ground.
Raiden barely had time to process the hit when a second wave of bowling balls came flying toward him. And that wasn't all—behind him, spiked vines shot forward, trying to ensnare him, while from his left, strands of reinforced hair lashed out like whips, cutting off his escape routes.
To dodge and counter simultaneously, Raiden spun again, increasing the output of his telekinesis. He grabbed hold of the vines, the hair, and the incoming bowling balls, redirecting them back toward their owners.
The heavy projectiles slammed into the villain controlling the vines, while the razor-sharp strands of hair lashed at the one who had thrown the balls. However, the man with the extending hair reacted quickly, dodging his own redirected attack with ease.
Before Raiden could follow up, the hair came at him again, striking with even greater speed. At the same time, he caught sight of the last man in the yellow coverall leaping toward him, a small stone clutched tightly in his hand.
Raiden prepared to sidestep, but what happened next took him completely by surprise.
The stone expanded.
In an instant, it grew to nearly three meters in diameter. Now massive and impossibly heavy, it crashed down before Raiden could fully react.
The impact sent a shockwave through the floor. The stone slammed into his shoulder, pinning him to the ground as blood dripped from the fresh wound. His psychic energy flared, stopping the boulder from crushing him completely, but the sheer force left him immobilized.
Raiden gritted his teeth and gathered his strength, pushing against the massive weight. But before he could free himself, the stone expanded again, becoming even heavier. His muscles strained under the pressure.
Then, as if that wasn't enough, strands of hair coiled around his limbs, tightening like steel cables. A sharp jolt of electricity surged through him, and before he could react, the vines slithered back, twisting around his torso.
He struggled, his arms, legs, and tail occupied with holding back the crushing force. And yet, he swore the stone was still getting heavier.
With only his head free to move, an idea formed—one born out of instinct and desperation.
Raiden focused his energy, channeling it toward his forehead. His psychic power gathered at a single point, the pressure building. Then, he leaned his head back as far as he could and slammed it forward with all his might.
Zen Headbutt.
A sharp jolt of pain shot through his skull, but the rock fared worse. A deep, web-like crack spread from the point of impact. Seeing his chance, Raiden shoved with all his strength, forcing the fractured stone apart and rolling free just as it collapsed into rubble.
But before he could counter, a vine lashed across his back, sending him to the floor again. The three villains moved in for the final blow.
Raiden's eyes flashed.
With a wave of his hand, his telekinesis nudged their attacks—just an inch, just enough to make them miss.
Breathing hard, he pushed himself up and locked eyes with the long-haired enemy. His limbs ached, his tail throbbed, and his muscles burned. A flicker of rage coursed through him. If it weren't for their numbers, he never would've been forced to the ground. And lately, he had grown to hate ending up on the ground.
With a sharp flick of his wrist, he summoned Swift. Eight glowing stars shot forward at blinding speed, zeroing in on the long-haired villain's face. At the same time, Raiden activated Agility, his speed surging as he rushed forward.
His leg gleamed as he charged his next strike.
Mega Kick.
The impact was devastating. His foot connected with the villain's ribs, sending him flying backward with such force that he crashed through a wall, breaking straight into the next room.
As Raiden landed, he suddenly felt… stronger. His arm glowed faintly, the number eleven appearing for a brief moment. A surge of energy rushed through his body—some of his stamina restored, his connection to his power sharpening just a little more.
He exhaled, rolling his shoulders. One down.
The vine-user was already preparing the next strike. Whips of greenery lashed toward him, and from the side, a barrage of growing stones rolled in his direction.
Raiden cursed under his breath. Shit.
He could use Ancient Power. His own stones would easily break through everything in his way. But just like at the hotel… he had to be careful.
Too much force and the whole place could come crashing down.
Raiden dodged and redirected the incoming attacks, the bowling balls whizzing past him. This time, however, as one passed close by, an idea sparked in his mind.
"What if try to make energy balls with my powers? No, not now... not the right moment," he muttered under his breath, pushing the thought aside for later.
Focusing his energy, he extended both hands and launched two Swift attacks at once—sixteen glowing stars streaking through the air. The effort strained him. It was the first time he had attempted this with his attack, and though it worked, he could feel the drain. This wasn't something he could pull off repeatedly. At least, not yet.
The projectiles struck their targets, forcing the villains to brace themselves with their Quirks. Despite their defenses, the impact triggered a barrage of small explosions, sending dust and debris into the air. Before the dust could settle, Raiden was already moving toward the air.
He shot up above the vine user and fired three consecutive Confusion attacks against the villains. The third strike hit with less force as Raiden wasn't used to fighting this way, but it was enough to take two villains down. The villain crashed into the ground with a heavy thud and smoke coming from their bodies.
"Two more to go," Raiden muttered, eyes locking onto the remaining enemies.
The two villains instinctively stepped back as Raiden advanced. One of them, the man with the bowling balls, quickly generated more from his hands and hurled them at high speed.
This time, with zero distractions, Raiden simply raised his hands and stopped the balls in midair.
With a flick of his wrist, he sent them flying back toward their owner, who barely had time to react before a Psyshock slammed into him. The force of the psychic strike sent him crashing against a wall, leaving only one opponent standing.
Raiden turned to face him. Their eyes met.
"Surrender."
The word echoed not through the air, but directly in the man's mind. At the same time, Raiden cast Life Dew, a soft glow washing over his body as his wounds began to recover.
The last villain, the man in the yellow coverall, shuddered. His hands trembled, but he didn't back down. He clenched his fists, exhaling sharply.
"Sorry," he muttered. "If I go down without a fight... it'll be worse for me."
With that, he charged, scooping up pebbles from the ground as he ran.
But now, with no one left to interfere, Raiden had his full attention on him.
The moment the man got close, Raiden unleashed his full telekinetic power, locking him in place.
The villain froze mid-step, muscles straining against an invisible force. For a brief second, Raiden felt the psychic grip waver—his stamina wasn't fully restored—so before the man could break free, Raiden struck.
A powerful psyshock Raiden sent the villain flying backward, slamming him against the nearest wall.
Silence followed.
Raiden took a deep breath, scanning the battlefield. Many of the people in white coveralls had dropped to their knees, hands raised in surrender. The fight was over.
Then, a voice sounded from behind him.
"Good job, kid. A little messy, you could have controlled the destruction, but good job," Kaina remarked, walking up to him, behind her there was a pile of villains one above another. "Thought I was gonna have to step in a couple of times, but you managed."
She dragged two men in yellow coveralls with her, tossing them at Raiden's feet. "what now?" asked Raiden.
"Now, we interrogate," she said.
Something in her tone sent a chill through the air.
Even though she was a hero… everyone shuddered.
