As the silence stretched out between them, Tehila began to feel a sense of discomfort. She didn't know what Lucien was thinking, but she could tell that he was processing something.
"Is everything okay?" she asked finally, breaking the silence.
Lucien's gaze snapped back to hers, and he smiled slightly. "Yes, everything's fine," he said. "I was just thinking that you're a very interesting person, Tehila."
Tehila felt a blush rise to her cheeks as Lucien's words washed over her. No one had ever called her interesting before. She wasn't sure how to respond.
"Thank you," she said finally, trying to sound calm.
Lucien leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers. "I mean it," he said. "You're intelligent, beautiful, and charming. What more could a man want?"
Tehila's heart skipped a beat as Lucien's words sent a shiver down her spine. No one had ever spoken to her like that before. She didn't know how to respond.
"I...I don't know what to say," she stuttered.
Lucien smiled again, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You don't have to say anything," he said. "Just know that I'm very glad I met you, Tehila."
As Lucien's words washed over her, Tehila felt a sense of wonder. She had never felt this way about anyone before. She didn't know what to make of it.
But as she looked into Lucien's eyes, she saw something there that made her feel like she was home. It was a feeling she couldn't explain, but it was one that filled her with a sense of peace and contentment.
"I'm glad I met you too," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Lucien's smile grew wider, and he leaned back in his chair, looking satisfied. "I'm glad to hear that," he said.
Lucien's face suddenly turned serious, his expression darkening. "About the divorce," he said, his voice low and firm. "I'm not going to accept that."
Tehila looked at him in surprise, unsure of what to say. "Why?" she asked finally.
Lucien leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers. "My mom loves your personality," he said. "But I don't care about that,I don't even know you"
Tehila shook her head, confused. "What do you mean?" she asked.
Lucien sighed, rubbing his temples. "My mom allegedly agreed to this marriage without my consent," he explained. "She heard from one of her friends that your father was looking for a husband for you, and she jumped at the chance. But I'm not going to let that happen without a fight."
Tehila felt a shiver run down her spine as Lucien's words washed over her. She had been so focused on escaping her father's plans that she hadn't stopped to think about Lucien's feelings.
"I don't want to get married," she said finally, her voice shaking. "My dad is just trying to control me. He's been threatening to kill me if I don't do what he says."
Lucien's expression softened, and he stood up, walking over to where Tehila was sitting. He gently took her cheek in his hand, and Tehila felt a jolt of electricity run through her body.
"Why are you doing this?" Lucien wondered to himself. He had never been attracted to any woman like this before. He had had sex with other ladies just for his satisfaction, but there was something about Tehila that drew him in.
Tehila pulled away from Lucien's touch, her eyes welling up with tears. "I just want to be free," she sobbed. "I've been trapped my whole life. My stepmom and sister have been tormenting me since my mom died. I just want to escape."
Lucien's heart went out to her, and he felt a pang of guilt for his earlier behavior. He sat back down in his chair, trying to process his emotions.
As Tehila cried, Lucien couldn't help but notice the fireworks exploding outside the window. He stood up, offering Tehila his hand. "Let's go watch the fireworks," he said, trying to distract her from her tears.
Tehila took his hand, and Lucien led her to the window. As they watched the fireworks, Lucien couldn't help but steal glances at Tehila. He was drawn to her in a way he couldn't explain.
As they stood there, Lucien had an idea. "How about we give this marriage a try?" he suggested, looking at Tehila with newfound interest. "We don't know each other, but maybe we can make it work. And I have to make sure my mom is settled about her opinion of our marriage."
Tehila looked at him in surprise, unsure of what to say. But as she looked into Lucien's eyes, she saw something there that gave her hope. Maybe, just maybe, this marriage wouldn't be so bad after all.
As they stood there, Lucien couldn't help but steal glances at Tehila. She was stunning, her curves accentuated by the fitted dress she wore. Her skin glowed in the dim light, and her eyes sparkled like diamonds. Lucien felt his breath catch in his throat as he took in the sight of her.
In his head, he thought, "God, she's damn sexy as hell. She's everything a man could wish for." He couldn't explain why, but he was drawn to her in a way he had never experienced before.Although he had sex with other women but she was just different. .
Tehila, oblivious to Lucien's thoughts, continued to watch the fireworks, her eyes shining with wonder. Lucien's gaze lingered on her, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt like he was losing control, like he was being pulled into a vortex of desire.
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. What was wrong with him? He didn't even know this woman, and yet he couldn't seem to take his eyes off her.
As the fireworks continued to explode outside, Lucien made a decision. He would give this marriage a try, no matter what. He had to make sure his mom was settled about her opinion of their marriage, and besides, he couldn't deny the spark that had ignited between them.
"How about we give this marriage a try?" he suggested, looking at Tehila with newfound interest. "We don't know each other, but maybe we can make it work."
